This peregrine/cheetah griffon is the queen of speed! That blur that raced by you might just be her. But don't worry, she's very friendly and always willing to have a chat, unless it's mealtime.

He makes a quick but thorough examination before gently pulling her shirt down. "Well, yer alright, though still banged up. Sorry, but you don't get to carry anything today." he says, hoisting up the pack, an almost imperceptible wince coming from him as he does.
"I saw that." she chides and goes to help him with the bag. "We'll do it together. Unless you have a wagon hidden somewhere in this place." The look on her face is caring, but stern, she's not letting the issue go.

He grumbles and shakes his head. "My wounds were nothing, not enough to stop me from carrying a pack." he says, giving her a look. "Don't worry about me, let's get to that willow, that way we can finally eat."
Gale still helps take some of the weight off him as they head out to sit under the tree. The picnic is set up swiftly, Gale starting with a big drink of water before she unwraps a sandwich.
"Rider, mind if I ask a question? Is there anyone in your operation you've got your eye on?"
He chuckles, planning to ask anyway. Suddenly he gets an idea. He picks up a sandwich and ask, "Hey, we're gonna go swimming at some point, we'll need to get you a swimsuit. Wanna go into town and find one?" he asks, casually taking a bite of his sandwich.
Gale nearly chokes on her sandwich. After much coughing and gagging, during which Rider would likely have patted her back to help, she takes a sip of water and a deep breath. "Uh, well, I guess I should have one if we are gonna go swimming... Nothing I have with me would really be appropriate..."
He nods and leaves the room, revealing a small amount of sweets and chips, as well as some sodas and some wine. When he returns he has an old dufflebag, not really suited for a picnic but more than capable of doing the job, if anything it looks like it's been through a warzone. "This is the best I've got."
She blinks at the amount of food he got out, and blushes a bit at the wine. When he leaves she takes the opportunity to clean up. As he returns she eyes the duffelbag. "We really need something that big?" Then she glances at the food "Guess we kind of do."
She finds some paper towels and begins wrapping the sandwiches. "Got an ice pack to keep some of this stuff cool?"
"It was nice. Kinda makes me sad I don't get up there more often." he says, eating some chips. He moves to grabs some wine, unconsciously moving closer to her as he does.
Gale doesn't notice him getting closer, for the moment she leans back against the tree as she eats. She takes a look up through the branches. "This tree's really neat, even if you can't really climb it.
He had just taken a sip of water, which promptly goes down his wind pipe, causing him to choke. He coughs a bit before looking at her. "Well, I mean, not really. We've got some pretty mares, zebras, dragons, and griffons. But I don't really think I could work with them if I dated them." he admits, a very slight blush on his face as they talk.
A giggle escapes her before she replies, "And why's that? You're certainly handsome and likeable enough to catch anyone's eye."
She's so amused she doesn't even catch all of what she just said.
