Gia's Brows Arched, A Smirk Stretched Across Her Lips. "If There's Nothing To It, Why Are You So Defensive

Gia's brows arched, a smirk stretched across her lips. "If there's nothing to it, why are you so defensive about it, Williams?" she teased, sinking into the seat opposite him. Twin Moons was one of Gia's favorite spots. No matter what, she was surrounded by her makeshift Were family, and regardless, she had drinks near at hand...especially now as Blaize slid a placatingly cold one across towards her. "Ooooh, clever boy. Plying me with drinks!" she teased. "Don't think that'll get you out of it. I can't even express to you how genuine she was. That picture? Totally candid! Trust me, she was completely unprepared, poor thing." Gia chuckled softly. "But," she added, whipping out her phone to show him the image again. "Look at that face. Look at that face and tell me she's no good and you don't care." She paused, her fingers wrapping around the cool stem of her glass as she raised it towards her lips. It washed down her throat, cold and refreshing, and Gia was silent for a moment before she launched into the primary aspect of her speech. "Look, she totally screwed you over. Believe me, I know how terrible that feels and I would never ask you to forgive that if I didn't think she was genuinely sorry. But I firmly believe that she is. You don't come back if you aren't. And, I know, it's for her aunt...but, Blaize...She's still the same girl you used to know." She shrugged. "What do you think? I know you insist there's nothing there, and that's fine. But before either of us being right or wrong...She's your friend. Are you still hers?" This time, when Gia fell quiet, her eyes gleamed. "And don't think I didn't hear what you said. You knew she was back. You totally met up with her! Come on, spill! I can see it in your eyes, so don't bother denying it. Was it arranged? Did she go to your house? Did you meet by chance? Tell me all about it!"

Won't Say I'm In Love || Gia & Blaize (closed)

Blaize had been on his guard. Ever since he’d gotten the text (and picture) from Gia that she’d finally seen Lilly, Blaize had been ready. He knew it was coming. Even if Blaize had spent the last six years trying to move on from Lilly, Gia had always been their biggest fan girl. And honestly, though she’d helped him through losing Lilly, he didn’t know if she’d ever stopped rooting for them. And judging by her immediately texting him upon seeing Lilly, he was guessing he was right.

And so, he sat at Twin Moon, sipping on a beer and waiting for the shoe to fall. The calm that he liked to surround himself in was hard to find here at Twin Moon; but it was also the place that he felt most at home. Surrounded by his own kind.

And whatever little peace he’d had was shattered when he heard Gia calling out his name. He looked up and watched her practically toss people out of the way to get to him. And when she finally reached his table, he held up his hand just as she opened her mouth to speak. “No, I haven’t been avoiding you; yes, I got your text; yes, I knew she was back; and no, this doesn’t mean that your fabled tale of us being together is coming true,” he said, answering every question he knew she’d pose to him before she could even do so.

He waved to a drink that was sitting on the table with his beer, “I went ahead and ordered you a drink if you’d like to sit down and make whatever case I know you’re working up in your head.” He smiled playfully up at his fellow wolf and best friend.

Bookends | Gia & Kelly

A black leather jacket topped a crushed silk shirt, itself sporting a generous sheer stripe down the center that ran from neck to navel. Her pants were tight, topped by leather boots. She wore half a dozen different bracelets on her left arm and gold crosses for earrings, set off by the dramatic backdrop of her lustrous chocolate hair. In short, Gia Desstrin hadn’t dressed for a library. Without a word, Gia walked up to the counter behind which Kelly sat, turned around, and jumped up to sit on the desk. Arching her brows, she glanced over her shoulder at Kelly, mischief glittering in her eyes. There was a good chance Kelly was intoxicated. “You’re beautiful,” were her opening lines. Chuckling to herself, Gia slid her legs around, now sitting perpendicular to Kelly, and stretched her legs out in front of her. “You should be showing that off. I could do your makeup…and your hair…and your clothes.” She frowned deeply, “You get that you could totally rock the sexy librarian thing, right? I tell you what, guys in this town would be lining up to read like nobody’s business.” Gia tilted her head towards Kelly. “How about it? I bet you’d have waaay more fun, huh? Let’s bounce!”

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun | Gia & Lill

"LILLIANA!" Gia jumped up from where she'd been casually sitting. The cafe was relatively quiet that afternoon and Gia was struggling with the after effects of a fading hangover, huddled in the corner, her back to the light. She frowned not insignificantly at her own noise before managing to laugh at herself. "Get over here!" she added a little more quietly, pushing her headache aside and gesturing for Lill to join her. As soon as Lill was close, she drew her into a warm hug before pulling away suddenly. "Where the hell have you been?" she arched her brows significantly, tilting her head. "Oh my God, I have to text Blaize!" Despite herself, Gia grinned. She didn't do drama and she might have been ticked off, herself, about how Lill had left without a word and left Blaize to mourn her loss, but she wasn't one for saying that. She was the sort to roll her eyes, say, 'You fucked up,' and go back to living her life, drama-free. Pulling out her phone, Gia shot a quick text to him, snapping a picture of Lill without warning with the caption, Look who came back!! "Ok, so you have to tell me everything you've been doing since you've been gone, since I'm sure you already know how upset our boy is," she added, referring to Blaize. "And, in turn, I'll promise to help you and Blaize get friendly again." Granted, she had an ulterior motive: Gia knew good and well that Blaize was head-over-hells for Lill and that they belonged together and she wanted to see her friends happy together, but that didn't mean she wasn't also eager to hear what Lill had been up to.

Gia Desstrin || 25 years old || Werewof || FC: Emilia Clarke

Traits

(+) Candid, Loyal, Fun-loving (-) Impulsive, Obstinate, Melancholy

Personality

Gia ia a woman with an infectious laugh and a wry sense of humor which she applies to almost any situation.  Most often spotted sporting a leather jacket, high heeled boots, and smoky makeup, she looks a bit like a biker chick but she’s actually much more interested in art history and museums.  She might hang with the lads, but she also likes to kick back and drink champagne while reading Vanity Fair.  Extremely opinionated and forthright, she mostly just wants to have a good time.  It doesn’t matter if it’s a ridiculous or wild time, but if you’ve got a crazy idea, Gia’s your girl.  Gia is also immensely comfortable with her body – in whatever form it might take – and don’t be too surprised, should you walk into her house unannounced, to find her walking around naked.

Can drink and smoke and drive with the best of them, knows about motors and about guns and likes to hunt – again, if whatever form.  Views herself as something of a protector.  Very comfortable with sexuality, as well, but definitely just wants to have fun.  Her eyes are generally laughing.  Say something stupid, she’ll laugh in your face, say something smart, she’ll laugh with you.  Likes to dance when she’s drunk and if you dance with her, she’ll almost certainly sit on your lap and make out with you.  Frequent face at the local bar.   In her mind, the jury’s still out on other supernatural races and she doesn’t judge them by race, but by individual.  Gia likes to say she is a practitioner of doglike loyalty and, of course, loves dogs.  She also loves to use all the dog puns directed at herself and her Pack.

Gia is a pretty free and loose with most things.  Impulsive and astute, she gets into a lot of trouble – always has – but has always been pretty good at getting back out of it.  That being said, she has a greant many doubts in herself, but that is a secret she keeps locked up tight, inside.  Gia isn’t one for advertising her deeper shortcomings, even if she’ll tell you straight up she’s loud-mouthed, assertive, and honest to a fault.  She wishes she, herself, could forget her private fears and doubts.

Biography

Gia is a self-described mutt.  Born to an Italian-Bulgarian mother and a German-French father, Gia revels in her diverse heritage. Despite her appearance, she comes from a good name.  The Desstrins are old money, her German grandfather being descended from an inventor who’d bought up a great deal of land with his earnings, both of which had made him and his family flush with cash; and her French grandmother descended from French nobility who had fled France during the French Revolution.  Her mother was not born to privilege but, rather, was made by her fortunate marriage to Gia’s father.

Gia doesn’t care about any of that.  She was disgusted by her mother’s social-climber attitude and her father’s perspective which had him believing he could buy anyone and, as soon as she turned 18, Gia left.  She’s not quite as independent as she’d have you think, though.  You don’t skate by quite as easily as she has without a little money to grease your path.  Granted, she’s not altogether aware of the extent of it, but she what she does know about, she doesn’t deny: one of her greatest disappointments is her fear that she can’t actually make it all on her own.  She’d like to prove it but, secretly, she’s not so sure it’s possible.  Afterall, there’s a little more to the story of her leaving than she’ll tell.

Most people are, of course, unaware that Gia is a werewolf.  While she’s proud of what she is and would, honestly, love for werewolves to come out, as vampires have, none of it happened soon enough for her.  When Gia’s parents met, her father was actually already married to another woman and had a son.  He left his wife to marry Gia’s mother, all the while unaware that his new bride was, herself, a werewolf.  Gia’s mother proved crafty enough to keep the arrogant man from learning her secret – something of which she’d always been ashamed.  She took consolation from the fact that their daughter, with only one were parent, might be an ordinary human girl and managed to convince herself that it must be true.

As a result, Gia knew nothing of werewolves, or the supernatural at all, until her own transformation.  For her, it was freeing, it felt like being alive – but for her family, it was horror.  Gia was utterly unprepared and, thus, trandformed in front of her entire immediate family – mother, half brother, father, all.  Her mother was ashamed and angry, her brother frightened and curious – but her father sat cold and unblinking.  The instant she returned, naked and limping, from the woods, he cast her out of the house for good.  Gia’s mother and brother make sure to smooth her path, but to her father, she no longer exists; she is only a nameless horror: a monster.  Gia prefers to rememeber that she didn’t want to be there, anyway.  Of course, pretext was everything in their family, so her father put on a charade of sending her to a boarding school, but when as soon as she turned 18, he looked her straight in and eye and said.  “You are not my daughter.  You are dead to me.”  It was how she learned that werewolves aren’t the only ones who abjure.

Cast off, Gia turned to the comfort of her Pack, desperately looking for something, anything: meaning, family, escape.  The Packmaster at the time wasn’t a particularly good person.  Addicted to V, he promptly began to push it on anyone who’d take it.  Gia resisted for awhile, but it was obvious to everyone that she was an easy mark and, eventually she caved.  She liked it, liked the taste, running down her throat like ink.  She liked the high.  But more importantly, she liked what came after: the strength.  Finally, the girl out of control of her life felt powerful.  Everything changed, however, when she happened to stumble upon the Packmaster’s secret, finding the newborn vampire.  Chained and pale, Gia’s heart twisted.  She wasn’t able to free the vampire, but she was able to help enact change.  She quit V cold turkey (“The hardest thing I’ve ever done, and probably the best.”) and became a faithful supporter of Everett’s stake as leader.  To this day, she is unquestioning in her loyalty to him.  She believes he helped her see the light, helped her become a better person.  Still, there’s a part of her that misses the power she felt – she just doesn’t want it at the expense of someone else.
