“hola princesa, como te sientes?” miguel asks softly as he walks into the bedroom, a bag hanging from his arm and a matcha latte in his hand, shutting the door behind him.

“not great” you murmur as you lay in bed with tired eyes, aching from your cramps as you hold a heating pad to your lower stomach in an attempt to soothe the pain.

“i’m sorry baby” he coos, with a slight frown, placing the bag on the floor as he sits at the edge of the bed beside you.

“i got you a matcha” he murmurs placing the cup on the nightstand, “thought it’d make you feel better” he smiles. “thank you” you smile weakily.

he gives you a concerned look, “have you taken some painkillers or something?” he asks petting your head. “mhm” you hum, “just a couple minutes ago”

“that’s good, just have to wait a bit then” he strokes your cheek lightly in an attempt to comfort you through your pain, flashing a soft empathic smile.

“te trae unas cositas de la tienda” he says, placing the bag on the bed as he scavenges through it. he shows you each item from his grocery haul; “got you some more pads, tampons, ibuprofen, your favourite chips…” he paused with a cheek smile, “and look” he says, pulling out 2 hello kitty plushies from the bag, one hawaii themed and the other strawberry. 

“miguelll awww” you say giggle with a smile, reaching your hands out for them. “i saw these and i knew you’d love them so,” he chuckles, handing them towards you, “here, mi amor”

you chuckle, examining both of the stuffies, “they’re so cute” you say softly, smiling as you place them beside you on the bed. “thank you my love” you say sweetly, leaning over and hugging him by wrapping your arms around his neck. he rubs your back letting out a soft chuckle, his heart full from your appreciation. “de nada preciosa” he says sincerely, kissing your cheek. “you like em?”

“of course, i love them” you smile at him, planting a kiss on his cheek. he grins ear to ear from your affection. “mi bebé, te quiero” he coos, stroking your chin as you look up at him against his shoulder. he plants a kiss on your nose, making you grin.

“so you need anything else? maybe something to eat? te puedo hacer una sopita de fideos” he says attentively, knowing you haven’t had much to eat. “mhm, that’d be nice” you smile looking up at him.

“okay, ya te la hago” he says, planting a kiss on your nose.

he lets go of your embrace, getting up and placing the bag on the nightstand, “gonna leave this here incase you need any of it”

“thank you baby” you smile, slumping back down into your pillow. he smiles back, “no problem mi vida, i’ll be back ‘kay?” he says, walking towards the door. “por ahorita descansa, mi amor”
