Like, I need people to get that when people who love Wuthering Heights say that Heathcliff shouldn't be played by a white guy, it's not because we're arguing for a colorblind casting, it's because (and I hesitate to use Wikipedia here but they cite their sources!) the text literally refers to him in pretty unveiled language to NOT be a white guy.

Like. This isn't a romance novel referring to a white British lord as "swarthy". This is characters in the novel making DIRECT references to the potential racial identity (not white) of a child who is brought in out of nowhere by this white guy who was ~traveling about~ and then treated like shit by the white family that "took him in".

That scene between Tiffany and Richie said so much without saying anything at all. Richie in his head, in his own way, holding back, often his own worse enemy, and through all the shit he's carried, he's desperate to make Tiffany happy. We wonder if he tried enough- not knowing the whole story; he made mistakes in their marriage, like fighting with her dad. So pride and doubt would get in the way of loving Tiffany. He can be hot-headed and often stuck in his own ways/ Yet he wants to try to give her the world, and I think he sees it in Carmy. And he sees Carmy going about it in the wrong way.

Y'all, Luca is not as ambitious as Carmy, he already said that, nor does he want to be. He is fine with being #2. He is fine with being Pippen to Marcus' Jordan.

Part of the reason Syd likes Carmy is because he is like that because she is like that. Luca will not push Syd the way Carmy does, even though Carmy is frustrating AF and is not being a good partner and needs to learn to truly collaborate.

She knows Carmy is an artist, she is inspired by him, just like she is Carmy's muse and every foolish thing he has done thus far has been trying to impress her or prove that he's worthy of that admiration.
