Rolling waves of consciousness turned over within Mac’s mind, wrestling with the thick layer of visionless fog that had formed a barrier between unconscious bliss and lucidity for a turn at the forefront of his stream of thought. (from as you stand and drown, a hurt/comfort macgyver fic :D)

It was a conversation that Riza suggested he’d had with Fullmetal ages ago. (from Ignition, more h/c but fullmetal alchemist!)

Steeling herself to knock, Klara raised her fist towards Liam’s door, taking a deep breath before allowing her knuckles to make contact with the steel.  (a VALORANT fic where killjoy asks brim to help her tie a tie!)

It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence to see a certain black-red snake curled up somewhere within Mr. Fell’s bookshop. (from Rumor Mill, a good omens fic where crowley takes his snake form)

Jack rarely let this side of him be seen by the people he loved. ( from even when im hard to love, a character study on Jack's darker side from macgyver)

Peeling his eyes open at a snail’s- pace, Ed blinked a few times in rapid succession in order to give himself enough time to adjust to the onset of a warm- albeit overwhelmingly bright- glow emanating from beside him. (from my little dove, a fullmetal alchemist sickfic)

Mac blinked slowly, willing himself to slip back into consciousness. He felt like he’d been asleep, but he didn't remember going to bed, nor did he remember going home. (so old help but its from a macgyver sickfic :D)

Devotion was a strong way to describe anything. (a character study on Lan Fan, from fullmetal alchemist for the FMA secret santa event!)

Crowley wasn’t particularly well-versed in matters of love. (another good omens fic, but a WIP i'm hoping to finish soon!)

Shaking hands reached towards the phone sitting on the bedside table, fingers barely brushing against the shattered screen when they stopped abruptly, hanging in midair, waiting for the brain to continue whatever mission it had sent them on. (an unfinished and lowkey abandoned macgyver WIP)

if you like a piece of media that is good eventually youll more or less run out of things to say about how good it is but if you like a piece of media that is objectively pretty mediocre but also somehow deeply compelling thats how the demons get you

can you believe that we have fanfiction. that we have websites dedicated to fanfiction. that there is a place that you can go and read tens, hundreds, thousands and thousands of pieces of writing that strangers have made. people who are not "writers". people who come home at the end of the day and have feelings and say, i am going to put that into words. i am going to share those words. short, long, sweet, sad, horny, funny, wonderful words. we are all just human and we all love to make and remake and share that with others. can you believe that.
