There's No Turning Back In An Art Game?
There's No Turning Back In An Art Game?
Here's a list of some arty flash games that I like, so I can forget all about them for six months and then be like "What was that one game that I liked? You know, the arty one? Oh that's right, I made a list!"
One Chance
A game that you can only play once (unless you cheat). Every living thing on Earth will be dead in six days, thanks to a deadly compound you created. What choices will you make and what good will they do?
Every Day the Same Dream
One of the granddaddies of art games. "One Chance" borrowed a lot of its look and interface from this game.
You Only Live Once
Another game you can only play once. A somber look at the dangers of vigilantism and improperly constructed Boss levels.
But That Was [Yesterday]
Wordless and touching.
Loved
This one is aggravating as all hell, but in a really interesting way.
I Wish I Were the Moon
Simple but adorable.
The Majesty of Colors
You are a giant squid monster discovering the world of people. Do you treat them nicely, or not?
Runners-up (because apparently this was a contest): Looming, Johnny Why Are You Late? (a parody of Every Day the Same Dream), Johnny In An Art Game? (a parody of One Chance).

I love Norm MacDonald's Twitter feed. His dry style makes it hard to tell the jokes from the philosophical ramblings from the earnest statements of fact, and the result is a meandering narrative that's hilarious and kind of touching. Every night he signs off by saying "I love you. Peace," and even if it's for lol joeks, I find it comforting. Somewhere out there, Norm MacDonald is thinking of the human race with love!
Yes! Someone uploaded the TCA panel for Ricky Gervais/Stephen Merchant's new show "An Idiot Abroad," featuring Karl Pilkington. Skip to 0:37 for the amazingness.
