Listen, I'm a little tipsy right now but I had an epiphany

What if, what if instead of using the Mafia to hide flame users, they choose to make it something religious but not really (?)

But listen, listen, the Vongola Primo is probably who influenced people to put flame users on the Mafia (with how his family had powers and the rest didn't), or the Secondo (because he wanted to), and Checker Face and the Vindice probably kept that way because more people went active like this, but what if Giotto did something different. The Vongola Primo era would be when the Catholic church is going crazy over other religions and the unknown, and they aren't being stealth when hunting down witches (witches = woman with powers = female flame users), so flame users form a Cult, instead of a vigilant group, and Giotto is the leader because it was his idea when he was trying to protect his mist (I forgot her name sorry)

So, years later, the Cult of Flame needs a new Sky, someone who would be able to make them known to the world because they're tired of hiding for hundreds of years, and who is better than Giotto's something something grandson?

(The curse wouldn't be needed, since flame users are actively putting their flames on the pacifiers every weekend as part of their cult activities, so there's no need to stick the pacifier in someone)

(does this mean that there isn't any flame user in the mafia? No, some are there but pretend they don't have powers and they're all wearing priest clothing because they are petty like this and aren't a fan of the Catholic church for burning their people)

The entire series stays mainly the same except instead of Tsuna screaming about not wanting to be a Mafia boss it's Tsuna screaming "I DON'T WANT TO BE THE POPE!" as Reborn chases him around

I just had a headcanon too fucking painful for me.

What if Xanxus' relationship with his brothers was very similar to Damian's relationship to his brothers. Very similar as in a dash of fanon over canon because there's no murder attempts.

In that Enrico semi-adopted him after he arrived, he had a similar temperament to Massimo, and grew a rivalry to Federico.

Respected all of them and strived to support Enrico (the heir) in his future as the Vongola Decimo. Massimo (young 2) is slated to inherit CEDEF, removed from direct influence of Vongola but still a branch and backs them up, Federico (the favoured) is an R&D type of guy very invested in furthering reasearch in Flames and bit of a fingers in all pie but not the face of Vongola, and Xanxus decided he was going to be the assassin.

Then his big brother died and then he discovered their father was lying all this time about him being his son (after being made to build his entire worth and personality and relationships on that) and he has a fucking meltdown, a mistake that causes him almost a decade. Frozen and detained by his distant apparently not-Father supposedly well-fucking-intentioned. And when he wakes up, his two other brothers are also dead. The conflict of thinking he was never their brother in the first place and didn't deserve to grieve them and the fact that he never had the chance to was his own fault, and maybe if he hadn't then he could've been there to do something, and then seeing someone just taking the mantle - and that someone was some no good brat that spit on the memories of everything being Vongola Decimo meant to another person that never got the chance.

He hated his not-Father, hated his brothers for leaving him and if they died painfully then even fucking better because they deserved it but not, he deserved a piece of the past and he hated the brat's existence that would wash away all of that and relegate the story of four brothers to nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Imagining there’s a whole language for flame users based off of what colors they’re wearing particularly when it comes to skies. Like everyone tends to lean into wearing the color of their own flame. Occasionally you will see someone throw on a splash of orange if they are looking for a sky but for a sky? For a bonded sky? Wearing the color of one of their guardians is seen as giving them favor, of holding them above all others, of claiming them publicly even more than their bond has already claimed them.

All this to say Tsuna wears a red shirt and Hayato, the only one that understands the unspoken rules, runs face first into a wall
