SYNOPSIS! Curious Cat is an app that peaked three years ago where people use it to flirt with their crush anonymously and then suddenly forgot about it.

or wherein, Y/N was devastated when her crush, Lee Heeseung indirectly rejecting her in highschool. Three years later, both of them have this unknown beef in between of them that even their friends don't know the real reason behind. One day, Y/N suddenly remembered and opened her C.C account, and saw that someone by the name 'Ethan' confessed to her three years ago.

"Woah, hyung's getting bolder" Niki excitedly said, or whispered. The rest of his upper body was lying chest down on the table as he 'spied' on yours. Jake looked back at him, curious how the librarian still didn't scold him to sit properly.

"Right? Now, that I see it— seriously how can we not see that ?" Jay asked still bewildered, "Are we blind?" He added looking back at them. "You can't blame us, hyung. Hee hyung declared that he hates y/n noona" Jungwon answered, eyes still at the two's table.

"Did he?"

"Well..." Niki shrugged, "He didn't tell us but he did tell us by how intense he 'glared' at noona back then"

"That's just how heeseung shows his interest. Why so surprise? He's dumb" Chorus of hum in agreement was heard from their table at Jake's conclusion.

Can't argue with that, niki thought while Jay can't help but huff at how his hyung looked at you like the complete lovestruck fool that he is.

Heeseung was smiling ear to ear, a hand on his chin while he observed your every move. The question was still on Jay's mind, how can they not see— aside from jake, that? But oh well, how will you see that if heeseung's expression was back to normal once you look up to him. Heeseung's smile will probably look like a teasing smirk to you while his action would look like an attempt to torment you. So, no... this time jay can't blame them for not knowing, most probably, can't blame you from how secretive his friend was.

On the other hand, Jake's gaze suddenly traveled to sunghoon's seat, and there he realize that his friend's been quiet for a while now. He taps him, "What's up?" Sunghoon quietly nods his head to the side where another table was located at the left side of your table, where your friends are sitting.

"Kim Sunoo has been taunting me for a while now, and I'm scared for my life" Jake released a low laugh before gazing at the said man, he really was glaring at sunghoon.

"What did you even do to him?"

"I don't even know."

Jake was about to say something when a scratch of chair's feet onto the wooden floor was heard. The next thing they knew, you were standing facing a person in front. He doesn't need to look twice at the newcomer to recognize them. The dimples and eye smile made it hard to forget. It was true when some said, Yang Jeongin's face was unforgettable.

"Oh, y/n. It was nice seeing you" He greeted, cheerfully waving his hand at you. "I've been here for quite some time but I haven't even had the chance to catch up with you" Jake felt it, and he knew that everyone in this very spot of the library knew and felt how uncomfortable you are. Even heeseung slowly stand up from his seat as he quietly checks on you.

Jeongin turned to his right, at the position where y/n's friends are sitting. "Ning, hi! Wonyoung, Sun" He greeted them with the same cheer in his tone. The one who he called 'ning' and the other black-haired girl just nodded awkwardly while y/n's cousin, kim sunoo intensely glared at him.

Jake felt a nudge on his arm, "See that? I'm surprised this Jeongin guy is still alive" Sunghoon whispered scared to break the intense situation.

"I'm sorry, jeongin but... we're in the middle of something" Your voice came out like a whisper, it was a heavy feeling even for Jake, who's just a spectator.

"Yeah, I know. I just want to have small talk, don't worry" Jeongin smiled, before looking at heeseung. The gaze was anything but friendly.

Jake can tell that he was trying to provoke the other one, but jeongin just failed and it came nothing. It came to nothing when heeseung's focus was on you. This whole time all he can care about is your well-being, if you're okay or comfortable, which you're clearly not. He doesn't care about the man who came to make him remember the choices he regretted years ago.

"Then, I'll go now. See you, y/n" Jeongin bid his goodbye but not before he looks back at jake, giving him a knowing look causing sunghoon and jay's stare to shift from jeongin then to their friend. Jake just scoffed, rolling his eyes as they heard jeongin's step until it disappears.

"Excuse me, I need to go to the bathroom" You mumbled excusing yourself. You can feel everyone's burning stare, especially heeseung's but you tried your best to shake it off.

All this time, Heeseung never removed his eyes from you even now that you're walking through the aisle and into the bathroom. Concern was all he could feel, and he doesn't care if your friends could see through the mask he had made for himself. Heeseung immediately broke out of the haze before starting to walk, they thought he'd go follow you but it was a surprise when he walked in a separate way. He can still hear Sunghoon calling him but it goes out of his ear. He needed to do something.

"Well, that was intense" Niki whispered, eyes shifting between the way towards the bathroom, and the direction where heeseung vanished.
