The chill of night startled Bluebellkit, her fur ruffled as she clung to Crookedmask as he followed the flatlands towards the island. She turned her eyes widened at the sight of the ever growing mountains.

"Watch your step!" The voice of the orange white tom snapped her from her thoughts as Duskeye caught up his paws slipping along the muddied ground muttering a grunt as he followed. She meet the nervous and shifting golden gaze of Cherrypaw who followed close behind his head swiveling between her and his mentor. The shift of wind made her flinch as she noticed the abrupt stop and lowering of the Clan their gazes locked on Jaggedstar his orange pelt shown like fire through the dark night.

A yelp pressed from her lips as Crookedmask lept through the air landing gracefully on stoned bouncing his way to the island after his Clanmates,"Hold onto me tight!" He breathed as he ran water sloshing theateningly at his paws as he wove between the bursts of chill. He paused at the other side his eyes meeting hers searching,"Are you okay?" She nodded leaning into his fur warmth spreading from nose to tail tip.

With StormClan being the first to arrive to the gathering the clan weaved quietly,"I'll see you after, I need to show Cherrypaw our place, remember why we are here Emberpaw." Duskeye's grumble sounded from beside her as he plodded past nodding to Crookedmask. Once he left Crookedmask turned his green eyes gentle and warm,

"You remember right?" He guided her to a higher part of the island his pelt brushing and warming hers,"You just have to tell me if you recognize anyone.."

"Who are they?"

"Oh it looks like MossClan and RangeClan have arrived!" He swiveled around his eyes wide. The nerves and fear overwhelmed Bluebellkit as a golden tabby approached her scent wafting into her nose along with the smell of herbs. She backed up her breath quickening in panic as her breath caught in her throat pushing herself against her friend as she stared ag the smaller golden shecat. Her legs collapsed beneath her as the shecat stood over her bowing and purring a greeting to Crookedmask going unnoticed.

Crookedmask settled down, his tail wraping around the terrified kit,"Goldensong! It's so nice to see you again!"

A purr rumbled from the shecat as she lay down,"I know it has been a moon!" Bluebellkit could understand her name from her sweet and soft voice, though it was forgotten as her eyes flicked to her,"Crookedmask... she is quite small for a apprentice..." she looked nervously down.

"Oh yeah! This is Bluebellkit, she is here to check for her parents. Bluebellkit this is Goldensong of MossClan." He leaned down and nuzzled Bluebellkit's cheek a small grin on his face as he tried to smooth her ruffled pelt.

He looked up his eyes meeting Goldensong her eyes sympathetic and sad before looking back down,"It is alright love... you are quite special to be at a gathering so young." A small smile grazed her muzzle.

"I am?"

"Yes," The shecat purred,"Kits normally dont get to come to gatherings, you must be quite the special cat!" She smiled sweetly. Her demeanor calmed Bluebellkit and she pushed herself against Crookedmask her eyes heavy with exaustion as the two warriors talked feeling warmth glow from them both, it felt almost as if she was a StormClan cat and Bluebellkit wondered if she would be able to see her again as she drifted into soft sleep the warmth of the two warriors and the scent of her friend allowed her to drift away.
