Chapter 31 : [epilogue] Life's first crush

Word count : 560!

Sunghoon and you sat on your sofa, each with a bowl of noodles. "We could've shared a single bowl." Sunghoon pouted as you gave him his bowl and you stood up to walk towards the kitchen counter.

"Hm, but I'm hungry today so you won't get a single noodle if we share the same bowl." You said from the corner of your refrigerator as you went to bring two mini packs of juice.

"I'm okay with that. I'd rather see you eat." You narrowed your eyes as you heard him say it with a grin. You came over and gave Sunghoon his pack of juice.

"You sure know your way to girls' hearts, don't you?" You said while shrugging off his comment. You sat back down near him with remote in your hand. You began eating while focusing on the web series that was playing in front of you.

A good amount of silence from Sunghoon's side made you start feeling guilty. Did you hurt his feelings while you said that? Maybe you did. You swallowed your juice and were ready to face him to make an apology.

As you turned towards him, he was weirdly looking at you. No, it was not any mad expression, he was just lost in thoughts where his thoughts included you.

You lightly shrugged his arm, "What is it hoonie?" He seemed to bring back his focus towards you. He smiled and said, "Y/N do you remember where we first met?"

You tilted your head to recall your memories, "Must be when we took admission in the college?"

"No." He denied. "We practically did not meet but we have made eye contact many years before. I was 11 years old back then." He said with a soft smile.

You frowned in confusion, "11? I don't think so. Where did we see each other?"

He took a deep breath, "Remember we had annual sports meet? Nearly every school's students in Korea participated. I was selected for figure skating, so we were taken to the common arena of the participants to stay. My friend's sister was also participating in the meet for tae kwon do. He told me to wait for a while when he went to check upon his sister. There I saw you sitting on the floor in your tae kwon do uniform, eating noodles with juice the same way you are eating now." He smiled wider, "When you made eye contact with me, I was so flustered." He chuckled.

"It felt as if I had the first ever crush on you until," his smile faded a bit, "Until I saw you with a very pretty boy."

Yes you remembered now. "Ah that was you?? Oh my goodness!" You were shocked and excited at the same time, "I was sitting with my friend back then when she told me to look at your direction, you looked so handsome even back then too." You covered your mouth with your hand, "I can't believe this!" You laughed lightly, "And the pretty boy was my brother Han Seo-Jun, I will introduce you to him someday." You were beaming with happiness.

One could easily tell how Sunghoon had stars in his eyes as he looked at you.

It was safe to say that you both were surprisingly each other's life's first crush who found each other again while breaking down all the circles and triangles into a single line.

The line finally joining Sunghoon and you.

genre: fluff a/n: this post is inspired by one of my spotify playlists named 143 and my habit of drawing on my friend's hand >:) + tmi: i was writing this in class-

you were in the school library with your group working on your chemistry project. the library was pretty empty, with only a few other students inside. you guys chose a secluded table on the far side, wasting no time in getting started once you sat down. opened textbooks and loose pages of notes sprawled all over the table you were working on, the sound of pencils writing on notebooks, and the occasional deep sighs of boredom and exhaustion.

you glanced over at sunghoon— your boyfriend who you’ve been dating in secret, admiring the look of concentration on his face. his brows were slightly furrowed, his lips softly pressed together causing him to have bread cheeks, and the tip of his bangs clinging to his forehead.

he was still so pretty even when he was just studying. oh was this a sight you could watch forever.

you could see jay and jake getting up from the table in the corner of your eye, causing you to snap your head back down to your notebook, in fear of getting caught. without moving your head, your eyes followed them as they disappeared behind the bookshelf.

you looked around to make sure they were gone, frankly to make sure that no one in general was around. you then looked back at sunghoon, reaching for his hand.

you flipped it over so his palm was facing up, and clicked your pen. you began writing something on his inner wrist. sunghoon didn’t bother to look over at what you were doing, just simply allowing you to do so.

this wouldn’t be the first time you’ve drawn on his arm, in fact, you do it every time you’re with him. it all started one day in english class when the teacher was briefly going over an old lesson. sunghoon happened to have his hands clasped and resting on the table, and out of boredom you drew a smiley face. since then, you draw on his arm any chance you get.

sunghoon found this habit of yours cute and endearing. it allowed you two to be touchy in public without giving away your relationship. he loved seeing how concentrated you’d get, how careful you’d be to make sure that you don’t mess up, and how frantic you’d get when you do. everyday you would draw something different, and sunghoon always looked forward to it. he often jokes about getting your little doodles tattooed on him one day.

you examined your finished drawing, before turning back to your notebook, waiting for your boyfriend to look. your eyes glanced over as sunghoon looked at his wrist. he was expecting a doodle of a flower, a dog, a heart, anything else, but instead it was the number 143.

“one four three?” he quietly spoke, “what does that mean?” he looked over at you.

you shrugged your shoulders in a shy manner as you blushed. “it means,” you leaned into his ear, “i love you.”

sunghoon was caught off guard, his cheeks turning a soft pink as he smiled. “why so suddenly?”

“i don’t know, i just really love you.”

sunghoon let out an airy chuckle as he reached for your forearm. “alright then.”

he began to write on your inner wrist. 143.

you both shyly smiled at each other as he leaned close to you, pecking the side of your head, “i love you, too.”
