I relate to your post so hard! My interests are super mixed and I feel like it’s hard to find other people like that because they are trying to only like things in the aesthetic that they saw on Pinterest or that their friends are

Yeah, the aesthetic epidemic suckssss!! It never gets easier to find people with the same interests 😖 Especially if you’re shy, butttt the more uncomfortable and the more socializing you do, the better you get at it!

The internet def helps though. If there are people on the internet with the same interests, there are bound to be people nearby with the same interests. Just have to (unfortunately) find them!

Also, sometimes people hide who they really are as well. Maybe your friends have the same interest(s) as you and you don’t know it! Maybe they’re embarrassed? I used to hide that I played video games for YEARS and liking things from the 2010s for like 3 years now, but now I’m not ashamed #yolo. Also only like 1-2 of my friends know that I journal 🙈

Hopefully one day your friends stop trying to be who they are not, and become who they truly want to be! <3
