when fruits basket said severe childhood trauma will have lasting impact on you but you can’t let it shackle you and you can’t stay frozen in the past and you have to keep on living and to do that you’ll definitely need a strong support system and it’s okay to take your time and unpack the abuse and unpack the hurt but you can’t let yourself be taken care of forever and your trauma is no excuse for wallowing in self-pity forever and at some point you have to stop blaming everyone but yourself for being stuck and you have to take responsibility for yourself and your growth and your healing and actively work towards becoming a better person a person you’ll grow to like and a person who’ll grow to become whole again anyway please read/watch fruits basket
