I’m soooo opinionated about Scott/Logan and maybe it’s bc I think everything that came after the introduction of the Jean love triangle is deeply stupid but also I’m right. “Oh they’re always at each others throats they’re in love with the same woman they would hatefuck” you know nothinggggggg nothing at all. They have such a specific dynamic and it isn’t that honestly, at least not most of the time. And even if it was, people never write it with nearly enough weird psychosexual quasi bdsm moments. Have you seen them??? They’re literally two dogboys just trying their best. Scott is a tightly wound bottle of daddy issues with terrible self-worth who just wants to do good and Logan flourishes when taking orders as long as he can also complain about it. He gets mad when Scott is always criticizing him bc he just wants to be told he did a good job.

Logan will always be there to stop Scott from going too far bc he KNOWS how important Scott’s ideals are to him, and if he has to be a killer for the rest of his life, then Scott shouldn’t have to. He can’t watch Scott take on that burden. He’ll carry it instead. He’s so deeply devoted to him. And meanwhile Scott, hyper-controlled Scott, has to admit that he likes it when they fight, he likes that little bit of chaos. He likes pushing and pushing Logan, winding him up and watching him go. yes, doctors suck, but also "the medical ethics and patient interaction training doctors receive reinforces ableism" and "the hyper competitive medical school application process roots out the poor, the disabled, and those who would diversify the field" and "anti-establishment sentiment gets applications rejected and promotions requests denied, weeding out the doctors on our side" and "the gruesome nature of the job and the complete lack of mental health support for medical practitioners breeds apathy towards patients" and "insurance companies often define treatment solely on a cost-analysis basis" and "doctors take on such overwhelming student loan debt they have no choice but to pursue high paying jobs at the expense of their morals" are all also true
none of this absolves doctors of the truly horrendous things they say and do to patients, but it's important to acknowledge that rather than every doctor being coincidentally a bad person, there is something specific about this field and career path that gives rise to such high prevalence of ableist attitudes

Little life advice:
Everyone who says not to set your stove clock or microwave clock because you won't use them and don't look at them anyway is lying.
Set them.
Because sometimes, you will come come from a week away when no one was in your home, and see the stove and microwave clocks blinking and go, "Oh shit, the power went out while I was gone, even though it's clearly back, which means every single thing in my fridge and freezer might have gotten room temperature and refrozen, and will give me food poisoning."
And it will be the only indication whatsoever not to eat it.
Anyway, just got back from the grocery store, but at least I don't have botulism.
