I can't believe I didn't even think of this! But it's true! It's illusion magic, right? So it should have been stopped as soon as he came through the portal into the TVA...
Do they have an actual reason for this? (Like maybe there is a small amount of magic in the TVA, but only what they allow? The infinity stones shown in the drawer do still glow, just dimly.)
Or did they just not want to bother with the makeup application required for it???
This is all I'm gonna be thinking about now.
(Also imagine the angst potential if the illusion actually had dropped then and Loki realized that the TVA just forced him into showing his natural, Jotun look without his permission!)
Also he could have realized that the TVA suppresses magic before he tried using it in the courtroom rip.
If Loki doesn't have his powers inside the TVA why doesn't he have blue skin? Looking like an Asgardian is magic!
