here's a thing i haven't seen people talk about for whatever reason. romance can be a form of abuse. romance can be traumatizing. romance can be upsetting to experience. having romance forced upon you is a form of harassment. having someone repeatedly express romantic interest in you despite you rejecting them is awful and uncomfortable and violating.

something doesn't have to be sexual in nature or intent in order to be a form of harassment. romantic harassment is a real thing. the only reason nobody talks about that is because everyone is just too attached to the idea of romance as an inherent positive to realize that it can and has been used to hurt people.

sometimes when I'm bored, I go through the list of recent bad faith Wikipedia edits that have since been reverted. a lot of them are politically contentious/offensive topics that attract crazies and trolls in general, but sometimes there are completely innocent inoffensive articles that people attack for no reason. some guy yesterday vandalized the article on the chemical element francium

Look don't test me I'll block and turn off reblogs with a hair trigger if you all can't be normal about this but I do feel like it needs to be said that "do you think abortion should be allowed if the mother's reason for wanting it is—" the only acceptable answer to that question is Yes no matter what the end of that sentence is going to be. I do not care if someone wants an abortion for selfish reasons or bigoted reasons or cruel reasons or any other hypothetical strawman you can think of, there is no circumstance where someone should be denied the right to opt out of a forced pregnancy and birth. First of all, who's in charge of interrogating everyone seeking an abortion to make sure they're doing it for reasons Pure Of Heart? Second, why do you think Forced Birth is an appropriate punishment to inflict on anyone? If your answer to "should abortion be allowed when the motivation is—" is anything but an unequivocal "yes, and I don't care about the motivation" then you are not pro-choice

He and his wife are struggling to feed their three young children, including one who has celiac and cannot eat many things, and are no doubt barely eating themselves. the money from this fundraiser will go towards food and water.

Namer's wife gave birth to twins during the war, but due to the poor conditions and scarce access to medical care, they became sick. one of them, Zakaria, unfortunately passed away, but his brother Ali is still fighting for survival. In addition, Ali is lactose intolerant and Namer struggles to find milk for him. evacuating Gaza is a matter of life and death for Ali.
