so after you cry to him on the phone after a rough day, he greets your stunned expression in the doorway with his gigantic embrace, lips gently brushing against yours as he whispers to let him make it all better– "lemme take care of my bunny tonight". he gets you changed into the clothing laid out for you, feeds you some fruits and makes you drink some water while waiting for the tea to heat. Bucky lets you get comfy under the blankets, shyly shifting his weight on the balls of his feet, waiting for your hands to reach for him to offer him snuggles with you (HE'S THE MOST PRECIOUS LITTLE BABY AND STILL GETS SHY AND NERVOUS TO CUDDLE WITH YOU SOMETIMES, OKAY!!)– he moves behind you swiftly with ease, placing your back against his chest while you burrow further into his lap under the covers. his low and soothing voice begins reading his favorite book into the lull of the room, his nose tracing the spot behind your ear getting lost inside the familiar smell of your hair and the warmth of your body. he can't help himself but get distracted, leaving kisses along your spine and neck every so often causing to you squirm and giggle

"Bucky... you've been on this page for 15 minutes," you softly chide, his eyes and lips having long left the pages of the book he held on your lap, opting for the beckoning expanse of your neck and exposed shoulder

a soft chuckle brushes quietly past the skin of your neck, goosebumps erupting along the skin.
