"I was made to love you."

Malleus' gaze is intense, piercing right through you, and you can't help the slight frown that shows at his words.

"What... do you mean by that?"

He sighs, as if he expected it to be obvious, and he steps into your space even when you move back. "My dear, dear child of man... How could you not know?"

"I mean that all of my world, turns only for you. You are the one that I wake for, and the one I wish to lay with as the moon hangs in the sky. There is nothing that I would not do for your affections, and nothing I would not do if you simply gave the word. You, dearest, are all that my life revolves around."

When you flush and start to protest such sweet words being thrown your way, he only shakes his head, and you're forced to share even more of your personal space when Malleus leans in, staring you straight in the eye with a look you haven't seen from him before.

It's... distracting, to say the least.

The fire in his eyes looks like it would consume you, if you gave him the chance. Like if you weren't careful, you could just as easily be trapped in this mad love. If you just succumbed to him, even once.

"Do you understand, my love?"

"You are all that I am, and just as easily, I would love to become all you are... to become irrevocably in love, tied together as one whole and strangers to the world beyond each other. Is it not a tempting thought?"

"Prefect!" Sebek bursted in through Ramshackle's doors, the epitome of panic. "I'm-! ...Huh?"

You looked up from your spot, on the couch with a snack in hand, slowly bringing your hand up to wave hello with a confused expression. It wasn't abnormal to see Sebek around, and sure he was loud, but he never really bursted in like that.

Usually, he'd at least knock. Or, at least, when he wanted your attention.

Keeping you oblivious to his midnight visits was the best for both of you, after all. How else would he keep you, but a human, safe?

"What're you doing here?" You questioned, a quirk to your brow as you slowly get up from your spot, heading over to greet him properly.

"Well- I. Uh." He stutters over himself, sheepishly bringing a hand to the back of his neck. "You... weren't responding to my texts. So I... wanted to make sure no ill fate had befallen you."

It's with obvious confusion that you send him a look, judgmental in the way that you reply. "Ill fate? I just had my phone on do not disturb, Sebek, calm down. What could even happen? You knew I wasn't gonna be leaving Ramshackle today."

"Exactly!" He straightens up, ready to argue if the expression on his face counts for anything. "If you weren't going anywhere, and weren't replying, I thought that something must have happened!"

He continues before you get any chance to get a word in, passionate with the accusatory tone in his voice. "Why would you put your phone on silent? You know I worry for you, human! There's many things, even in an average household, that could conquer your weak body!"

Sebek only grows more intense when you roll your eyes, ranting further and forcing you into listening to his lecture.

Hopefully, this wouldn't take too long...
