Bruce shifted. "He's taken Iron Man. And he's, uhm..." Bruce looked out the window before finally making eye contact with Charles. "He's asking for you."

He looked over his shoulder, making sure no students were present, before he leaned forward in his seat. "We've got a bit of a problem in Manhattan." Bruce cleared his throat nervously, looking down at his hands. "It's, uhm, Magneto. Again."

Bruce received the reply from Tony - gimme five minutes, big guy - and sighed, pulling the phone back up to his ear. "An inhibitor? What is it? Does it hurt you? Did Hank design it?"

Four months. That was how long it had been since she'd last seen Bruce and it was driving her crazy. Two months prior she had gone to see Hank, thinking she had caught the stomach flu that had been going around. It turned out that that wasn't the case. She was pregnant. She honestly hadn't known what to do, Bruce had already left for a calmer place and she didn't have a reliable way to reach him. Finally, two months later, she was able to get a text through. [text] I need to talk to you asap.

Bruce frowned down at his phone. The woman talking frantically next to him quieted, and he stood. He assured the woman, in Bengali, that all was okay, and he would be right back. He left the woman and his patient and ducked outside, tapping out a reply.

[text] Okay, what’s up? Unless you’d prefer I called?

"I'm... I'm fine," Bruce answered, shaking Hank's hand. "It's good to see you, too. Thank you. For taking care of Andie, I mean." He let Hank begin to lead the way to Andie's class, through the hallways and groups of children. He avoided touching anybody or anything in particular, keeping his limbs folded close to himself as he walked. "Forgive me. We can talk more later, discuss... specifics, and what have you. I just need to see Andie right now."

"Yeah?" Bruce looked down at their hands, tracing the back of hers with his free hand. He looked up at Hank. "Thank you for doing this, Hank. I appreciate it." Bruce fidgeted slightly where he stood, trying to remain calm as well as he could.

Bruce opened his arms and held her tightly, pressing his face into her neck and enjoying her presence, just for a minute. She felt solid, real, in a way that not much had since the last time he had seen her. He took a deep breath, inhaling her warm, familiar scent.

"It's so good to see you," he said, finally, pulling back slightly. He cupped her face in his hands. "How are you feeling?"
