Bruce Laughed Awkwardly. "I Don't Know What Magneto...Erik Wants From You. I Don't Know What His Intentions

Bruce laughed awkwardly. "I don't know what Magneto... Erik wants from you. I don't know what his intentions or his goals are here. I can only assume he's taken Iron Man apart by now, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get Tony Stark back."

Bruce shut his eyes and shook his head, bowing it over Rebecca as he let himself cry, just a bit. He took a deep breath to calm his voice enough to not unsettle Rebecca and grinned back at her, just as widely.

"Hey, baby," Bruce said, pressing his forehead to hers. "Hey, Rebecca. I've got you."

"Thank you." Andie said, her eyes softening as she looked at their daughter. It had hurt even more at first, seeing how much she looked like Bruce, but then she realized that she wouldn’t have it any other way. Watching him with Rebecca almost eased the anger. Almost. It would take a while before she would be able to let it go completely.

Rebecca looked up at Bruce with a big grin on her face and giggled. “Da!”

Bruce bent his head down over Rebecca's, leaving Andie's words between them to think about and deal with later. Right now, he was holding his daughter for what was technically the second time - the first time was immediately after she was born, Hank passed her to him at once, and Bruce just passed her right on to Andie. Now, though, he got to really see her, to hold her and look at her and take a moment just to bask in her.

He shifted to hold her in one arm, reaching up with his free hand to stroke his fingertips lightly through her hair before he rubbed her small cheek. "I love her," he said, looking up at Andie. "I didn't think- I didn't-" Bruce looked down, shutting his eyes and shaking his head. He opened his eyes again, taking a deep breath as he pressed his forehead lightly to his daughter's. "I love you."

"I know you will be. Bruce, I know you would never ever do anything to hurt her, just like you would never do anything to hurt me." Andie said softly, passing Rebecca to him. The baby fussed for a moment as she was moved but once she was settled again she quieted.

Watching Bruce with Rebecca caused Andie’s eyes to go misty for what felt like the hundredth time that day. This was her little family and she would do everything in her power to protect it.

Bruce looked up at her when she yawned, frowning slightly. "You should get some rest. I can keep an eye on her. There's plenty of people here, if you... I can ask one of them to stay with us. Just in case." Bruce looked back down at Rebecca, tucking the blanket closer around her, making it just a bit tighter around her. 

"I know." Andie said, smiling as she watched the two. "It really hits you out of no where doesn’t it? The amount of love you can feel for such a tiny little person." She was fighting to keep her eyes open, unable to hold back a yawn. "She’s got so many people that love her and most of them haven’t even met her yet. She’s going to be one spoiled little girl, I can almost guarantee it."
