Okay so me again! Thank you for that! So I was wanting 1, 4, 8, for Danny/ core from the ticket to the half a life fic. I love their dynamic so much. I can't wait for you to write more!! Is there a ship name for them? I don't think I've seen this ship outside of your stuff. But I am also pretty new to the phandom. So IDK really.
When you sent the thing about OTPs I honestly thought you were gonna ask my about UFS or Grayghost or PitchPearl or teddyghost or DarkAges etc. (I am a multi shipper so I honestly ship a lot of pairings. )
Not thatš
Okay so I have no Idea if there's a fandom assigned pairing name for it.
I know this is my second time writing the pairing. The first time was in a now deleted ghost king fic from 2010. Which was a lot darker then ATTHL is.
But I don't think I've seen the pairing anywhere else. But there's also always the possibility of me missing something š š
There is a ship name! @oka-oka came up with it actually! It's called infinite halves.
Anyway.
1.) Who fell first.
Okay definitely the core.
I mean.... Pretty sure the first part of chapter 13 confirms that one š š
-DP-
The Core tried so hard to fix that. To look more like the ghosts that dwelled in it. But it was terrible at trying to be like the dead.Ā
It had never lived or died.Ā
It couldn't mimic them. It could hardly understand them.
It thought it was doomed to an existence of suffering and loneliness.Ā
But then it met Danny.Ā
Danny wasn't like any ghost it had met before.
Danny wasn't even entirely a ghost.Ā
Danny wasn't alive, but he wasn't dead either.Ā
Danny was like the Core.Ā
But more importantly, Danny cared. Ā
He got angry quickly sometimes, and he was stubborn.Ā
But he never made it feel like he didn't care about it.Ā
Even when he was mad, he still treated it with kindness.Ā
He did a lot of small things that made the Core fall deeper and deeper for him as the years went on.Ā
He got it gifts and wrote it poems. He apologized when he thought he did something wrong. He would hold hands with it sometimes when he could tell it was sad. He even let it sleep next to him whenever it asked.Ā
The Core still remembered the first time it cried in front of Danny.Ā
He had been asleep on his side, quietly resting as the Core sobbed softly next to him.Ā
It froze as a half-asleep Danny wrapped his arms around it and pulled it tightly against his body.Ā
"It's okay. I'm here to protect you." He slurred, his green eyes heavy with sleep. It didn't take long for Danny to fall into slumber again. Burying his face in its neck.Ā
The Core never wanted that night to end.Ā
It spent more time than it'd like to admit wishing Danny would be its first kiss.Ā
After all of these years, it was finally happening.Ā
Its wish was coming true. Ā
The Core still wasn't sure if it was real.Ā
-DP-
2.) What physical trait do they love the most about each other.
The core thinks Dannys glow makes him look like an angel. It also loves his smile, and his eyes.
Danny is Ace in this so he's not really all that attracted to a trait. Which given the circumstance that's probably a good thing. Even though the marriage was arranged. He fell slowly for the core in small ways over the hundreds of year's they had been together. He just didn't allow himself to admit it for a long time. Because Danny is a rebellious dick head sometimes.
3.) Do they get along with each others friends and family?
Well this takes place 200 years after Dannys immediate family is dead. None of them became ghosts. So he's pretty much only got friends at this point. (Well unless you count his adopted son Roswell. But I'm gonna say he doesn't count. )
The core is the literal God of Death. It's the Grim Reaper. It's Ectoplasm itself.
I think this review from @majorcharacterundeath put it well.

So naturally most of the citizens of the zone are freaking terrified of it.
But that made the cores existence very lonely.
It never had friends even though it desperately wanted them.
It never had family or a caring partner or any semblance of normalcy.
Nearly every relationship where it thought it was getting one of those things, ended with it being manipulated or abused.
The observants and the ancients felt it was better to control the deity that could wipe their reality out in a snap, then to trust it to do the right thing.
They abused its desperate desire for affection and belonging, to keep it under foot.
Danny is the first appointed ruler to actually treat the marriage (it's really more of a soul bounding thing, but ill get to that later) like a marriage. Even though he didn't want the relationship at first. He took care of the core like a good partner should, because he knew it was his duty as King.
(Even tho it really wasn't his duty. None of the other rulers felt compelled to do that)
But I guess the short answer is yes and no.
Because the core has no one for Danny to get along with.
And while the core desperately wants to have good relationships with the people in Dannys life, all it does is scare them. Even when it's trying it's best to be friendly.
------
Holy fuck was that a lot of words. I didn't realize I could talk so much about these two š š

Dibujo basado en la tercera parte de la serie de fanfics Danny Arkham Security Guard AU, escritos por gilbirdaĀ (Elizabehta Beilschmidt)
This may not be any good (I havenāt written in like a year) and my characterization maybe horrible but I just couldnāt help but write something for your suspected traitor au.
Izuku would rather be anywhere than walking the halls of UA. Everywhere he looked was just a bitter reminder that no matter how much he thought things had changed, they hadnāt.
He made it in front of the door to Class 1-A and he hesitated. He wanted to flee to his dorm, to home, to anywhere else but here. He didnāt want to see any of their faces. He didnāt want to be reminded that they had looked right at him and thought villain.
But he forced himself to open the door and to enter. Despite his racing heart, he steeled himself and found himself slipping back into the safe skin of former habits he had hoped would never see the light of day again.
With each step Izuku took, the mantra of just two more days, just two more days propelled him forward until he had finally reached his desk.
All the desks were full, yet the room was silent and tense. Izuku kept to himself, hunched over his desk writing in his notebook (one of the reasons everyone even thought it was him in the first place).
āDekuā¦ā
His pencil stopped moving but he didnāt even dare to look up at Uraraka.
āDeku,ā she continued, āyou havenāt been eating lunch with us. We miss you. D-donāt you wanna come sit with us again? Turn things back to normal like they were beforeā¦ā
Tense seconds passed, and Izuku didnāt reply. Uraraka shakily went back to her seat.
āWhy donāt you cut this crap and stop acting like a coward,ā Kacchan sneered.
Izuku didnāt look up but he could feel Kacchanās red eyes piercing him.
āSo, you got mistaken for the traitor. Boohoo. Why donāt you just get over it and stop wallowing in your self pity just like you did in middle school.ā
The words pierced his heart, and he felt as if the emptiness inside of him was being replaced by a blazing inferno.
Izuku snapped.
A self-deprecating laugh escaped him.
āItās funny. Out of everyone here, and they thought I was the traitor. That I was a villain. What about you Kacchan? Iām not the one that would use their quirk on classmates. Iām not the one always threatening everyone.ā
Izuku looked up.
āIām not the one who told a classmate to go take a swan dive off the roof and hope for a quirk in the next life.ā
Kacchan looked at a loss for words, but Izuku didnāt care. He didnāt care anymore.
āEven the league of villains thought you were just perfect recruitment material. But no. Mr. Aizawa defended you, yet he stared at me and kept yelling at me that I was the traitor.ā
Izuku didnāt even realize when he stood up or had started shouting.
āI canāt take this anymore.ā
He grabbed his bag and left not even turning at the pleading āwait, Midoriyaā that must have been Mr. Aizawa.
He made it to the dorm, flinging his shoes off carelessly and rushing to his room.
He flung his door open and was about to make it to his bed when he tripped over one of the packed boxes.
His breaths were ragged and his cheeks were wet as he held himself desperately.
Just two more days. Just two more days until heād go to Shiketsu.
Hello! I would like to warn everyone of an experience my roommate and I have just had, in case I can prevent it happening to anyone else. Or, you know, if anyone knows a lawyer who could advise us.
My roommate has a queen size Nectar mattress. Friday night, she spilled some water on the bed and took the cover off to air dry. She unzipped the cover, and a flame retardant sleeve (that we hadnāt known was there to begin with) made of woven fiberglass began shedding small fiberglass particles. They were airborne. The whole room and everything in it is contaminated, and there are few surfaces elsewhere in the apartment that donāt have at least a little. Nowhere on the mattressā tags or on the Nectar website does it say there is a fiberglass sleeve. In fact, it makes a big deal of how there are five components: top of cover, three layers of foam, bottom of cover. Nothing about the flame retardant sleeve there. The label on the cover doesnāt say you canāt take it off, just that they suggest you donāt. It does not mention fiberglass as a material found in the mattress at all. The website even has a page explaining that you CAN take off the cover and wash it, if you must, just that they suggest you donāt. No real reasons given. No mention of fiberglass.
Our apartment is sparkly with fiberglass. We have had to drop money on a HEPA filter vacuum that could safely remove some of it, and on new non-permeable mattress covers to contain the worst of the source. We have had to garbage-bag up almost everything in her room. No amount of runs through the laundry seems to get it all out of clothes, and we have to thoroughly wipe out the washer and dryer drums every load. All her pillows were ruined, the chair in her room, her clothing, some expensive bras, a nice area rug, and Iām sure there will be trouble on the horizon with our landlord regarding the carpet, even if we do vacuum it as well as we can.
Lilly has been having nosebleeds, before the mattress was unzipped, but the worst one Iāve seen yet was the one that evening. Sheās been sleeping on it almost a year, and it could have begun coming through the fabric cover. Nosebleeds are a sign of fiberglass inhalation.
We have contacted the company, and their response was honestly insulting. We were told that we shouldnāt have taken the mattress cover off to begin with, and that it can no longer be covered by the 365 night guarantee, despite us having had it for under the full year. I have just now, after three days trying, finally spoken to someone willing to look into our case, so hereās hoping weāll get even a fraction of what we are, frankly, owed.
It really feels like there could be some sort of lawsuit here.
In fact, there is one, with a situation nearly identical to ours but with a different company. This was the first hit when I searched our problem online.
https://topclassactions.com/ā¦/zinus-class-action-saysā¦/
Anyway, if you have a Nectar mattress, donāt ever open the easily accessible warning-label-free zipper! If you have had it under a year, and itās in its original condition, it can still be returned. If you were planning to get one, maybe donāt! A lot of the foam-mattress-in-a box types have the fiberglass, though most of them disclose the presence of the fiberglass rather than hiding it like a dirty secret. Make sure you do a search for mattresses WITHOUT fiberglass as a flame retardant.
