The librarian, now dressed in your best clothing, arrived at the Ragnvindr Hall, seeing people get out of their carriages and walk through the open wooden doors where music made of violins, cellos, guitars, and pianos could be heard. You walked through the crowd, seeing some women look at you and whisper to others about how good looking you are. You were just wondering what fine man was under the mask, but not hearing those words, your overthinking took over your thoughts, so you rushed off to find a restroom. Is my hair a mess? Is there something on my clothing? Is my mask on wrong? ’ The thoughts rushed through your mind as you looked down at the ground, hoping to find the restroom. You found it, so you went over to it, reaching for the doorknob until it was opened from the inside and whoever was there ran into you. "Shit-if the door is closed, that obviously must mean someone would be in there," a deep sort of raspy voice said in an angry tone.

The h/c male stepped back, rubbing your head, "You bumped into me!" You muttered, looking up to see the prince, but you only knew him because of his very red hair, which was hard to mistake for anybody else. "Oh god, not again," you muttered under your breath, "I'm sorry sir." When you saw him look around, you took a quick second to reach into your pocket, pulling out a mint and shoving it into your mouth because you never know when you'll be able to kiss him tonight, and who wants to kiss someone who has bad breath? "You're the man I ran into the other day, right?" Diluc sighed, looking at you closely, realizing who you were. He asked, raising an eyebrow

"Yes,your highness...I was hoping you wouldn’t remember."

“Why is that?”

"I was rude"

"I liked it"

"what?"

"What?"

"Nothing."

"Alright then?" You cleared your throat with the two of you now standing in an awkward silence till a woman’s voice echoed through the corridor, "Diluc, I’ve been looking for you everywhere!" Jean Gunnhildr waved her hand as a hello, holding her teal dress up to walk easier and her blonde hair moving as well, sort of side to side in a ponytail with the ends curled. She definitely was a princess, and one you could never compete with. Diluc had been looking at you in a way that he was examining until Jean tapped his arm and he turned his attention to her. "Hm?" He hummed. "Well then, I’ll get going." You reached into your coat, pulling out the love letter and handing it to the redhead. "This is for you," you whispered, with a warm smile. He grabbed it, letting his fingers slide against yours, and slid it into his pocket. "I’ll read it as soon as possible."

“Well then, I’ll be going."

"So soon?"

"Don’t worry, I’ll still be around."

Diluc nodded as you walked away and looked at Jean, hearing her talk about something about his father and how he kept asking her to look for you so they could dance, though she knew he probably wouldn’t want to, so she told him she’d be near the band talking with others if he wanted to dance. She went off as well, leaving Diluc to either go find you or go dance with Jean to have his father be satisfied with tonight.

He found himself at the doors to the garden, seeing you sitting on the bench staring at the newly grown roses under the beautiful star filled night sky.. making sure he looked alright. He felt the letter in his pocket. "Should read this before I get to him." he told himself, opening the envelope, getting out the paper, unfolding it to then read every word you wrote about him. He didn’t know you very well, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t get to know you. He stuffed the paper back into his pocket, walking over to you to hear it humming. He sat beside you, hearing the humming suddenly stop. "I read it," he said quietly, tugging his lips into a smile, "you don't think I'm a creep now, do you?" "Not at all," he put his arm around you, letting his fingers mess with the collar of your shirt, "the only thing I think is that I’d like to get to know you". I'm a librarian. I'm a big fan of (whatever you want it to be), and I have a thing for very handsome men who also like to dance sometimes. You lifted your head up to look at him. "Well then," he hummed, looking up at the sky before getting up, having you sit up as he stood in front of you, holding his hand out. "I'm not a very good dancer, but I must ask, may I have this dance?"

You felt as if this was all a dream. You reached for his hand with a wide smile on your face and your cheeks warming up, but just as the tips of your fingers connected, a sudden ringing was heard, "Do you hear that?" You asked him, but it was as if he was frozen. More ringing like a bell... a morning bell "Diluc?" You stood up quickly, which turned into you sitting up in bed as quickly as your body would let you.
