“i just don’t get it.” 

the words ring throughout the apartment, echoing endlessly as if it were a hollow tunnel with a dead end. jake stands right behind you, your back turned towards him as you busied yourself with folding the clothes fresh out of the dryer. 

you couldn’t be assed to deal with whatever impossible scenario he had made up in his mind, pinning it towards you to get some sort of guilt from beneath your veins. you knew he wanted you to bend in defeat - to give the same apology you always fleshed out when his jealousy spurred to the surface every so often. he wanted to be the one with the upper hand, the one offering forgiveness at your half-hearted apology, one you gave just to shut him up. 

six months ago, you would’ve done exactly that, would’ve stripped yourself of the last ounce of dignity embedded in your bones just to get things over with; would’ve traded everything you could just for him to stop looking at you as if you’d crucified christ himself. 

but it’s not six months ago. you could no longer find it in your heart to let yourself down just for his own happiness and needs. you were human too. you had feelings too. like what all of your friends have tried to get through to you, you embodied it like it was your last option—  it was time to put your foot down.

only if he’s stressed or they did something that hurt him/was irrational

he’s a libra sun

us libras are really not all that into confrontation

we all saw it on iland too where he had to tell k that he was going a bit overboard

he absolutely hates arguing or just discussing serious topics in general

never leaves his s/o with a cold shoulder tho

he finds that immature and prefers to work stuff out immediately
