The tattoo shop’s neon sign goes out as you lock the front door, your eyes hanging low with exhaustion as you throw yourself onto the metal studded leather couch. A deep sigh leaves your lips as you stare up at the maroon ceiling, why was your life so pointless right now? Everything felt flat, the air in the room feeling suffocating. Your lips sputter as you close your eyes. Some things just couldn’t be helped, sometimes life just finds it’s way to being stagnant. 

“I should go home, shouldn’t I?” You whisper to yourself as you pull down your black face mask. You throw your legs off of the couch before hearing the door unlocking itself. 

“Oh?” You ask confused, your heart starting to beat faster knowing just one other person knows the code. 

The black door opens, the curtains rippling as the wind comes through and suddenly there he was. He was in black ripped jeans, his combat boots halfway up his calf as he steps inside. White tank top hanging low, his nipples peaking out as he takes off his leather jacket. 

“Kook!” You squeal surprised, his face looks down at you as he takes off his face mask with a huge smile. 

“Baby girl.” He whispers before slamming the door shut behind him, a quick jog across the charcoal floor and you were in his arms swinging through the air as he spins around. 

“Oh my God, I missed you.” You giggle happily putting your face into his neck as he clutches you with all of his strength. His leather jacket getting discarded on the couch as he puts you down. It was if the lights in your mind were back on, the feeling of suffocation lifting off of your chest and Jeongguk looks down at you with a huge smile, his eyes creasing cutely as he gives a small childlike giggle. 

“What’d you do? Get more handsome while you were away? Unfair.” You tease, his hand coming up to your head and ruffling your hair. 

“Oh my baby!” Jeongguk cheers pulling you into him and pressing your head against his chest. He smelt expensive as always, the Givenchy scent wafting through your nose as you close your eyes happily. You could hear how fast his heart was beating making you smile. 

“I really missed you so much, five months felt like a millennium.” He had gone on tour and the months away from you felt like a spiraling black hole. No video calls could do this justice. As Jeongguk pulls away he leans down, his perfectly shaped lips caressing yours as his hand snakes around the back of your neck. 

“I almost forgot what you taste like.” He whines before putting his arm around your shoulder. “Let’s go home, baby.”

The potent strawberry flavour is only the second thing Jungkook notices on your lips, right behind just how soft they are- which he guesses he only has himself to thank for being the best roommate ever and putting in the bar minimum and grabbing the first tube of chapstick he can find by the cash register. Later he’ll make a joke about how he’d buy you all the lip balm in the world if it means he gets to taste it the same way, but your lips on his are making his brain short circuit and reboot.
