You are humming to the song playing on your bluetooth speakers. Backstreet Boys, because in your opinion they make the best cheesy love songs. Your apartment smells like fresh laundry and the sugar cookies you baked this morning. Outside it doesn’t just rain, it pours. The world is getting a proper cold shower today. But you don’t care about the weather or the cold. You have the heater on and wear your fuzziest socks with your most comfortable hoodie. Technically speaking it wasn’t your hoodie, but that of your boyfriend. The later just entered your shared bedroom with a basket of fresh laundry in his hands and sits down on the edge of the bed. 

“I love it so much when the towels are still warm from the drier”, Jungkook says, rubbing his cheek against the warm towel with a content smile on his lips. 

“Ditto. It’s so nice”, you agree, looking at him for the briefest of moments before you turn your attention back to his dress shirt you are ironing. 

Jungkook had been away on a business trip for the last five days and had only come back from it last night. He got a pretty big model job in another city with lots of meetings beforehand and in those meetings he needed to look his best. That is why you are currently fighting with the creases in his dress shirt, singing loudly to the song and with your brows furrowed in concentration. 

Jungkook’s eyes flit up, fond smile washing over his lips. You are swinging your hips from side to side, bopping your head up and down without even noticing it. He loves moments like this. Both of you bare faced, in your baggiest of clothes and with your hair unstyled. He feels so comfortable in those moments. He is such a lover for everything domestic, it’s his favourite type of date with you. Even after two years together he still can’t get enough of those moments. 

“Finally. No more folds. Yay, yay”, you sing to the melody of Shape of My Heart as you hold his black shirt up. 

Jungkook continues folding the towels, eyes following you as you dance through the room to your shared closet. He can’t get enough of the way you swing your hips, finding it equal parts adorable and sexy. He is a simple man, what can he say. He sees you wearing nothing more than knee-high socks and one of his hoodies and he gets all tingly in his heart as well as his lower regions.

You were never too keen on blind dates. Everything about them felt…artificial. It wasn’t that you were a romantic, not especially, but you had to admit that being forced on a date by meddlesome friends took some of the magic out of dating. When Sua had mentioned a cute new boy in her class who was too busy studying to date, you had to admit the red flags began waving in your mind. Of course, you could relate. College was taxing and it was difficult to find time to even eat three meals, let alone date. Perhaps if things had cropped up organically, you’d have been more excited. But the forced union was a little cumbersome.

But Sua had been adamant that the two of you would hit it off, and with her eyes round and expectant, her brows raised, and her lips pouted, you really didn’t have any room to deny her. You figured one night of discomfort was better than months of guilt, and even though you figured things wouldn’t work out with this mystery man, you’d humor your friend. After all, making friends in college wasn’t easy.
