“I know.” Aizawa x reader panic attack comfort

Warning: mental illness, detailed description of a panic attack. Been getting rocked by these suckers lately and I feel like Shouta could relate. I know I end a lot of stories with the “your hero” thing but, shrug. >_>

“I'm…. dizzy.”

“You’re okay. I promise.”

“B-But, I’m scared.”

“I know.”

Shouta squeezes your hand gently. 

He knows you aren’t just overreacting. That this pain you’re feeling isn’t “just in your head.” That no matter how many times he says ‘stop worrying,’ or, “stop thinking about it,” the fear won’t ease until it’s ready. But he wouldn’t tell you something like that anyway.

Shouta knows it would just make you feel like a failure for something you can’t control.

“But..,” your leg starts to bounce, eyes wide as your vision tunnels on the bedroom wall. Shouta’s heart aches for you. “I-It feels different this time-”

He knows that feeling too. When these things happen, even the most natural sensations seem abnormal and frightening. 

“I know. I’ve got you baby.”

“I wanna go to the hospital-” you say, breath quickening.

Shouta grits his teeth. Fuck. He hates to feel so helpless. Doctors have checked you countless times, and he knows how much shame and sadness you feel when you start to calm down, only to realize that the fear had been a cruel trick your mind played on your body.

Moving slowly, Shouta puts his arm around your shoulder, pulling you against his side. “I’ll make you a deal.” He says. “If you’re still feeling bad in 15 minutes I’ll take you myself. Do you trust me?”

You’re shaking, still not looking at him. He knows tunnel vision keeps you from feeling overwhelmed.

Reluctantly, you nod.

“Thank you.” Shouta hugs you, kisses your hair. “Let’s try doing some things to calm you down…”

For the next 15 minutes, the hero talks you through the process of tensing and releasing your muscles. After 5, you stop shaking. After 10, your jaw is unclenched. And by the time you reach 15, you’re yawning, body slumping against Shouta as he rocks you back and forth.

“Looks like your feeling better.” He chuckles softly.

You yawn again. “Yeah. Fuck, panic attacks are draining.”

Shouta huffs a laugh. “Well, from your body’s perspective you just outran a tiger.”

“Must be a slow tiger.” You giggle, then snuggle up to him. “Thank you, shouta.”

“You’re welcome.” He smiles. “You did great.”

With a soft ‘mmmm’ you wrap your arms around his waist,putting your full weight against his chest. Shouta takes the hint with a chuckle, and lays flat on the bed so you can rest on him. It isn’t long until you slip off into a fitful slumber, comfortable with your partner standing guard.

Shouta doesn’t mind coming to your rescue. Soon, you’ll be able to do all this on your own. So for now, he’ll enjoy the chance to be your hero.

I read a lot of smut where Dabi would brand the reader and use his quirk on them during sex, but like I don't see it? I feel like Dabi would be really rough during sex but never try to burn you cause it will remind him of endeavor, I don't know it's just my thoughts on the whole branding topic
