La Playa de las Conchas (Shell Beach) in San Sebastian had all types of sand castles. At one end, the castles were made from solo cups, and the other... well, let's just say that mini sand gladiators would be content with their venue.

Before the lesson about winemaking, our tour stopped at the bodega's other highlights. First--the wild pigs. They were contained in a vast field with tons of acorn trees. Apparently the best ham is only fed acorns.
Second--the deer. This was only interesting because the deer had so many points on their antlers.
Third--the tree. Not just any tree, this one was over 1000 years old. The tree supposedly passes along positive energy if you give it a hug.

Today, my study abroad group went to one of the best wineries in Spain. I could take or leave the actual wine drinking, but the whole experience was incredible. The tour took us all over the vineyard, including some non-wine experiences (see next post). We tried the grapes straight off of the vine--I was too distracted by the numerous seeds to pay attention to how good they tasted.

We walked by a "children's swimming pool," which I thought looked more like a concentration camp than a nice recreation area. Continuing on, we encountered an area which I like to call "Picnic Stonehenge." There were about 12 tables in the clearing, and some of the stones had fallen off. Of course, we took that opportunity to dance on the tables.
Good News...
My camera is finally fixed! I'm picking it up tomorrow, then I can really show you what I've been up to.

The coolest site/monument/whatever that I've seen so far in Europe is the Segovian aqueduct. The romans built it over 2000 years ago, and it's still standing without anything to hold the stones together other than sheer architectural genius.
The cathedral was cool as well, I guess. If you like that sort of thing.
