Me (autistic, social anxiety, other): I’ve been sobbing for 20 minutes because I just found out I have rehearsal today and I’m sick and I’m exhausted and my schedule didn’t include this in my day so it was a complete surprise so now I’m crying

Friend: ok but I’m sick and tired too and I’m still going to do it

Me: ok I’m still going to do it because I’m terrified of being yelled at but I’m still allowed to be upset when things make me upset. I had an anxiety attack when my therapist switched offices and I KNEW that was coming.

Background: I always go to Starbucks with my dad on Sundays and that day it was already messed up because we were going later than usual, and I had gone to sleep the night before completely out of spoons so I was already starting out with fewer spoons. My routine was entirely messed up and so I was very upset.

Why is it ok for shit like this to be said? Just because you are a minority, does not give you the right to be blatantly rude and attack someone. I do believe racism is a huge issue in this country, however that doesn't mean that all white people agree with it. Not all white people stand with racists. Not all white people support the racist, sexist, hateful Donald Trump. Not all white people are privilege. I have firsthand experience with police brutality, and I spent 11months in jail for an EMPTY DIMEBAG. I was in jail for 6months before I even stood trial and was found guilty and further sentenced to a year in jail. I was 18 years old and had no prior record. So please, do not assume that white people have not faced their own struggles. We, as a people and a middle class, need to all stick together and respect EACH OTHER, because the government doesn't give a shit about us. I'm sick of seeing white people say and do racist things to blacks and other minorities, and I am also sick of PoC blaming ALL white people for their problems or discounting white people's problems. Why do we have to be so awful to each other?

About last night...

I’m physically ill because of what happened in my country yesterday. I can’t comprehend how over half of people living here elected such a fascist, ignorant, bombastic, manipulative, racist, unqualified, bigoted, Xenophobic, sexist, homophobic, sociopathic BULLY to be our next president. This is a man who has an upcoming trial for rape, who bragged about sexual assault. How did we go from our first black President to a President endorsed by the KKK? 

Clinton had her faults, yes, but in the end, I didn’t care about those emails because it was nothing compared to what he has done & will do. I proudly voted for Hillary Clinton yesterday & I would do it again, a million times over. 

To every third party voter out there, I hope you’re happy. You elected Trump, just to be clear. The votes that Gary Johnson & Jill Stein had combined were more than the votes separating Clinton & Trump. 

Florida, I don’t get how you could have the LARGEST MASS SHOOTING on LGBT people in June & still choose to elect someone who doesn’t care about you, who will take away all of your rights that Obama & team worked so hard to give you. 

My dreams of moving to NYC & attending Sarah Lawrence were crushed in a single night. Later today, I’ll be looking at colleges in Toronto & Vancouver. I’m not kidding. I can’t live in Trump’s America & I can’t take the chance that he will be elected again in four years. But forget about my dreams. 

Let’s talk about people who are afraid to simply walk outside their doors. I’ve seen so many tweets from Muslims who are terrified to wear their hijabs today. I’m scared to live in this country, & I’m WHITE. I cannot imagine how black people, Latinos, Muslims, LGBTQ people, other women, & ANY minorities are feeling right now. 

I am so sorry. My heart is breaking for all of you. I’m in complete shock right now. I was crying last night, I cried myself to sleep, & I have been crying all morning at the thought of watching all of the progress this country has made go down the drain. 

To anyone who voted for Trump, you’re the problem. I’d be fine if I never spoke to a Trump voter ever again, even if that means cutting out everyone I know in my home state of Mississippi. 

Hate has won. 

But Donald Trump is not my president.

I love how every time there’s a protest from a minority it’s a “riot” but middle class white dudes flipping cars and setting cities on fire after major sports wins are just “celebrations.” Fuck you.

I’d like sources that aren’t your alt-right trash that prove that kids are beating up kids for being Trump supporters. Because what I’m seeing is Trump supporters attacking people for their religions, spreading the same racist tripe we’ve had to listen to for over a year. Freedom of speech doesn’t mean we have to listen or even let you continue. Your freedom of speech means the government can’t stop you can speaking. We are free to ignore you or shut you down as we see fit.

Your “change” is only “positive” change for middle and upper class white people who aren’t trans or a religious minority.

On top of that: We’ve tried compromising for literally decades. It’s the Republicans who have made it impossible. And they’ve slowly burned the country in the process. Voting for trump gives them more power to do the same.
