It's been forever since I posted anything ;^;

Maybe it's the insecurities talking but as a writer, I always get the general impression that people value the visual arts more than written prose. People tend to dismiss the hard work and time put into constructing stories, saying stuff like "I could write that" "writing a story/book isn't hard" "anyone can write". While it is true, anyone can write a story (just like anyone can draw) can you write a "decent" story? I believe most audiences can tell an amateur writer vs someone well practiced- no different from the visual arts. But, I'm also guilty of having this visual arts > writing mindset. Yet it does flabbergast me when my favorite artists read my works and praise the content so highly, I'm like "WHAT?? YOU'RE COMPLIMENTING ME?? But you can form concepts in your brain and visually bring them to life onto paper! That's a wonderful skill!" In the end, I don't think one skill is better than the other, but I think writing should be respected more is all.
