Except then they end up getting captured on a mission and are so beyond certain they are going to die, like, they cannot see this ending with them alive so they say fuck it and confess their love for each other.

But, but, Obi-Wan goes the extra mile and says let's exchange vows, because why not? What's the worse that can happen, we are literally dead in a matter of hours.

So they do! And they have these few hours where they are in love and married and it's bittersweet but still happy.

But since this is, y'know, star wars they get a miraculous rescue and now both have the deal with the joy of being alive and the sinking realization that they are married and this breaks so many rules holy shit.

Anakin before doing a stupid thing: Ahsoka, don't tell Obi-Wan.
