"Whoa-!" Shiro ducked back, laughing at the house assistant quietly. "On screen, Harro. Let's see this."

"Good evening, Mister Yamato," Shiro beamed politely, eyes still a bit bleary from pain. The oven's timer started going off again and he excused himself quietly, darting off to the kitchen to remove the roast and veg from the oven.

"Perfect!" He muttered to himself, fixing two plates and making his way to the dining room with them. After setting them down, he approached the couch again and kissed the top of Alexis' head.

"Dinner's ready when you are, darling."

"Yes, sir!" He beamed, eating some of his food. "I have heard about the technology being available to reconstruct my arm? I'd like to put in a formal request to undergo that surgery. If it's still experimental, I volunteer." Shiro was concise and proper, his military side showing clearly.
