What game is this from? Someone, please help :3
Are you doing this out of curiosity, or are you actually gonna cosplay?
I’ve really. really. reealllylylyl wanted to put a cosplay together for a while now, like years haha, but I’m a complete novice. I don’t have any cons planned, but I would really like to start putting some stuff together for a side hobby and to have just in case v u v
I know there’s a lot of conventions in georgia, or Atlanta specifically, but I think they’re already over for the summer now? Idk it’s just something I’d really like to do at least once v u v;; It looks like so much fun!
i also need to. somehow meet people irl who do this stuff cuz i dont want to go to a con alone D :
Sorry to bother but how did you learn and improve in drawing anatomy? Did you start by using tutorials, drawing people, or....? uwu
awh gosh my anatomy is still pretty butt and I have a lot to learn still BUT I just sort of continually practiced on my own time, looked at irl proportions people had, and also compared them to how other artists stylized the human bod!
I had a few life drawing sessions in college with actual models and DAMN SON DID IT HELP I really miss it since my poses and anatomy skills were at an all time high when I practiced. It’s started slipping lately but i cant exactly get myself someone to strike a pose in my room haha
I’ll share some of my work from then tho ye
my first time ever with a n a k e d model was surprisingly not that awkward at all but maybe it was because it was with a chick idk as you can see though i really didnt focus on the face and i just did sort of a filler animu one on the one that does have a face fft
but for never doing this before i was pree proud of these
Then here are more we did in a different class — I think these are 30> second gestures?
My favorite of these, unfortunately, was ruined by the rain. And it was of dude poses too D: Be careful with your newsprint kiddos
Here’s some misc ones — sorry about the quality later on down omg
I have a ton more but lord knows if im gonna dig through my art stuff to find them.
ANYWAYS you can see that mine are far from perfect, even the ones that we worked on for a half hour or more. But that’s okay! Because you’re just learning and if you keep doing it and going at it you’ll deffinately get better! * v *
OH YES ALSO definitely try to work with different body types from the get go. Unfortunately for us we had only skinny n confident models pose for us, or at least the sessions I was in, but it’s good to mess around with different types!
I just did these super fast gomen
Just practice and have patience!
(not the same anatomy anon), how do you go about gesture? head first, then gesture? proportions?
what we learned is to do the hips first, then the torso/spine, then work your way down and out, then the head, because starting with the head first may set you up for wonky proportions. Also, starting with the hips/spine curve lets you get a better sense of movement and flow with your gesture.
HOWEVER I always started with the head lmao it was way harder to start with the hips for me. My teacher never seemed to notice though so I kept my bad habit woops kids dont be like me.
But It’s also because I always started with the head in my drawings since I was a kiddo. It’s a learned habit I have and it’s really. really hard to undo like 10+ years of how you’ve drawn in a few classes.

Excuse me while I artspam derek with arms and legs like an idiot
