She just kinda talked her way through the whole of her games. Anytime she came in contact with someone, she would keep talking until she got a chance to attack. She got her knives from a dead tribute that wasn’t being collected because she was near, and she thought, why not check and see what they got.

Lucas was reaped the same year as Max and her stepbrother Billy. After the gong went off, he ran to the cornucopia and only managed to grab a small hand axe before escaping. He eventually found the siblings and started watching them to see if he should ally with them or direct the careers to them. He ended up saving Max's life and teaming up with them in the end.

When a mutation was released into the arena, he and Max watched Billy die fighting the mut to save them, and he tried to console Max the best he could. He stuck by her side for the rest of the games and was willing to die for her or next to her if it came down to it.

He never expected to survive the games and had already said goodbye to his family. He just didn't want to die horribly or painfully for his little sister's sake. This is why he ran towards the cornucopia, but ended up making it out because he still had some self-preservation and a will to live.

Max and Billy were reaped in the same year during a quarter quell where 2 people had a chance of winning. Both went in with the intention to keep each other alive. Early on in the game, they get ambushed by 3 careers, and Billy ends up fighting off 2, but Max ends up nearly getting stabbed by the male tribute from District 2 (where she got her wepons). Lucas makes himself known and killed the male tribute from behind and joins an alience with the siblings.

Once the pool is down to the final 7 (them included), a mutation is released into the arena, where Billy ends up sacrificing himself so that Max and Lucas can run. Max watched him die and went nearly insane with pain and anger and ended up taking out the other 4 tributes on her own, with Lucas trying to keep her from falling apart.

Obviously, lumax happens throughout their time in the arena. When he joined the alience, he admitted to following the siblings trying to find a way to ally with them, Max starts to call him stalker after that. Later, Max ended up taking out a tribute from District 5 as they tried to steal from them, which is when Lucas started calling her madmax.

4. Max (13) District 12 / Lucas (13) District 7 (they won on a quarter quell, 2 people could win that year)

As you can see I changed their ages a bit.

Their ages: (sort of)

Steve, Jonathan, and Eddie are the same age (oldest)

Nancy and Robin are 1 year younger than Steve, Jonathan, and Eddie (middle)

Will, Mike, Lucas, Max, and Dustin are 2 years younger than Nancy and Robin and 3 years younger than Steve, Jonathan, and Eddie. (Also, middle)

Erica is 3 years younger than Lucas. (Youngest)

El/Jane is a mutation created by the capital that got out of their control and ended up in the arena in Mike's year. She is a year younger than Mike.

During his games, Mike acted like a normal career (so like an ass) until he met Eleven, who was a mutation created (experemented on) by the Capital and put into the games to cause mayhem. When she met Mike, he thought she was another tribute and ended up teaming up with her. He eventually found out she was a mut (mutation) but stuck by her anyway. They obviously fell for each other, but after the arena were there were no more life and death situations those feelings faded and they decided to stay friends.

Bonus: He took her back home to District 1. The capital tried to stop her from leaving, and she threw a van at them with her mind.
