Fun fact: Contrary to popular belief, owls cannot turn their heads around a full 360 degrees. They have a really impressive range of motion, though.

Screech owls like (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) this one run the risk of running under cars while hunting mice. The mice eat litter left by humans on the road, and look like easy pickings from above.

Of the 5 I've personally seen in captivity, all were injured by either cars or collisions with trees and therefore couldn't be released.

I noticed construction at the Natural Science Center the other day. Do you happen to know what they're building there?

The SciQuarium (Dun dun dunn) an interactive aquarium with a shark touch tank(apparently) and penguins. PENGUINS. Coming in 2013.

This man. Don’t ever change.

I was helping 5th graders build robots today (or they helped me more like :P) this quote is appropriate.

(via lisavilisa)

... Do any of my robotics peeps even follow me? Regardless, this is wonderful.

One of my responsibilities as Commander in Chief is to keep an eye on robots. And I’m pleased to report that the robots you manufacture here seem peaceful. At least for now.
