@ anon I am Jin’s age, too! I also have two young kids of my own so there are days where I feel like I’m ancient and shouldn’t belong to any sort of fandom at this point in my life because I’m supposed to be hardcore into adulting by now? ...But what is the point in depriving yourself of things that bring you joy? I agree with Mimi’s post with my whole chest. Age doesn’t matter to the boys and it shouldn’t matter to us, either. (Side note: I literally just made this side blog maybe a week ago so that I could try to meet some fellow ARMY, so please feel free to come scream at me if you want someone your age to talk to. 💜)

Hi Mimi!!! I have a question for you, do you think ppl can be too old to like kpop? I'm literally the same age as Jin and twitter is being so toxic and ageist about it like...why are ppl so mean :(

Since when being Jin’s age is even “OLD”???? And since when BTS’ music has an “AGE” limit???? And why should you feel bad about enjoying something non-harmful that makes you happy???? 

Listen first, this fandom is VERY diverse. While running this blog I talked to ARMYs that are 16 who love the boys but also ARMYs who are 61 who also love the boys.  And most ARMYs I know personally are ADULTS. MY parents are ARMYs and Jin can be their son. Why? Because BTS music is not just for a certain age demographics. If you connect with it, well you listen to it. As simple as that.

RM said to ARMYs: “Music and performance transcend language, countries and races. Do you feel that? Yeah. Like a rainbow, I don’t care if you’re red, blue, orange, green, purple, whatever. Thank you.” And Yoongi also said on this matter: “Age and gender, nationality and religion, what language you use - all of that isn’t important to me.” Even BTS do not care about your age so why would you care about some strangers on the internet? There is a quote by Jin that I love that might help you: “Don’t sacrifice too much for others and treasure yourself more.“

AND please ARMYs let’s listen to Jungkook when he told us: “We should try to respect and understand each other. We need to be considerate of others. Only then we can understand each other and get close to each other and become one.“ Let’s be kind to one another ARMY.
