When Another Member Is Your Best Friend ~ Super Junior Reaction

Leeteuk:

“Hyukjae, can you pass me my phone?” You called out, not paying too much attention to who was in front of you, before looking up and noticing Jeongsu in front of you.

“I know I look very much like your best friend, but I am in fact not him,” he chuckled, holding your phone out for you to take from him. “You’re as bad as the fans.”

You blushed lightly, stepping towards him. “I’m sorry, I just wasn’t paying attention to who was in front of me, I just thought it was Hyukjae upon first glance.”

“If I was Hyukjae, would I be able to do this,” he teased, wrapping his arms around your waist, pressing several kisses to your cheek. “Only I get to do this to you.”

Your hands pressed to his arms that were around you, “there’s plenty of things you can do that Hyukjae wouldn’t do, things that shouldn’t be done at the studio.”

“No one is around, there’s no way that we’d get caught,” he whispered into your ear.

“You would get caught, because you don’t get Y/N to yourself.”

You both spun around as Hyukjae walked into the room, folding his arms across his chest, “what sort of things can Hyukjae not do with Y/N then too?”

“Oh, you heard all of that, did you?”

Heechul:

“Honestly the two of you make me sick,” Kyuhyun remarked, rolling his eyes as he walked into the dressing room where the two of you sat across one of the sofas.

“This is my dressing room, I don’t know why you’re so surprised to see us together,” Heechul retaliated, squeezing you even closer into his side.

Kyuhyun shot him a glare, “you’re supposed to be my best friends, and now everywhere I look the two of you are cuddled up together, can’t you just sit apart for a bit?”

“That’s what I do with friends, like you, not my girlfriend,” Heechul joked, noticing how red Kyuhyun’s face was becoming. “Go and find a different room to sit in.”

Kyuhyun sighed, looking between the two of you, “I thought I’d come and spend some time with the two of you, but now I’m not sure I want to be here.”

“There’s plenty of things I can do to encourage you to leave,” Heechul joked.

“The two of you are impossible, we’ll sit apart if you want to be here.”

You shuffled out of Heechul’s grasped as he pouted, staring across at Kyuhyun. “See, there’s plenty of times when you can cuddle my best friend when I’m not around.”

“It’s only because she’s a lot nicer than me that you’re staying in here.”

Yesung:

“That’s a nice bracelet,” Jungwoon commented, wrapping his arm around your waist, taking in the new piece of jewellery you wore. “Did you fancy treating yourself?”

“It’s from Siwon actually, he bought it from his trip to Japan for me,” you informed him, noticing as his expression dropped, loosening his grip from around you.

His eyes looked away from you, “I know he’s your best friend, but I always feel like he puts me to shame because I can’t afford all these nice things.”

“I don’t want any nice things from you,” you quickly assured him, cupping the side of his face. “All I want from you is having you around and being with me.”

Jungwoon looked back down at you as your hand guided his eyes. “You deserve to be spoilt though, and as your boyfriend, it’s my responsibility to do so.”

“I don’t want to be spoiled, trust me,” you assured him, kissing against the tip of his nose.

“You promise me that you don’t feel like I’m a bad boyfriend?”

Your head nodded immediately, “I promise wholeheartedly that I don’t feel that way, if I’m honest, I hate that Siwon spends so much money on me too.”

“That does make me feel a little bit better.”

Shindong:

“What do you reckon to a night in tonight?” Donghee suggested as the two of you walked into your apartment, throwing himself down on the sofa. “It’s been a while.”

“But tonight, is Ryeowook’s opening night,” you murmured, remembering the several texts he’d sent you throughout the day. “I promised that I’d go and see it.”

“The show runs for a month; can’t you go and watch another time?” Donghee asked of you, the disappointment clear by the tone of his voice.

“I don’t want to let him down,” you sighed, taking a seat beside your boyfriend, “why don’t you come and cheer him on too, he’d love to have you there?”

Slowly, his head nodded, even if it was for your best friend, at least it was time together. “As long as you promise tomorrow, you’re mine for the whole day.”

“I promise, nothing can get in the way of us being together tomorrow,” you grinned.

“And we don’t have to stay for too long after?”

Your head nodded, “I’ll just go and see him and congratulate him and then we can come back, I just want to be there to support him for this.”

“I know you do, which is why you make such a perfect best friend for him.”

Eunhyuk:

“You boys are incredible,” you grinned as Hyukjae and Donghae ran down from the stage, feeling Donghae’s arms wrap around your frame.

“It’s only because we knew you were watching,” he smiled, but you failed to pay attention to him as you noticed Hyukjae pouting from behind Donghae,

You offered him a questionable glance as his eyes met yours. “Why are you hugging him first? I’m your boyfriend, I deserve to have a hug first.”

“He was just the first one in front of me,” you reasoned, unwrapping your arms from Donghae, and approaching him. “He is my best friend too; it’s not forbidden to hug him.”

He quickly pulled you into his chest, “it’s forbidden to deprive your boyfriend of attention though, and that is definitely what you did just then.”

“I’m here now, aren’t I?” You whispered, hitting his chest lightly, “don’t get jealous.”

“I’m not jealous, but he is just your best friend, don’t forget that.”

Donghae walked over to you both, wrapping his arms around the two of you, “you’ve made it very clear I’m just her best friend, although you don’t need to get jealous.”

“Well, at least Super Junior D&E are still friends for another day.”

Siwon:

“There you are, are you ready to go?” Siwon smiled, glancing across at Donghee too who sat at the table with you. “The reservation is at seven if you want to head off?”

“What’s your reservation for? Dinner?” Donghee quickly asked before Siwon could pull you away. The corners of his mouth turned into a smile as he leant forwards.

Siwon’s eyes rolled as a light giggle came from you. “I know you two are best mates and practically joined at the hip, but this is our date night tonight, for us two.”

“If you wanted it to be the two of you, why did you mention dinner, that you’re paying for, in front of me?” He asked, standing up from the table as you did.

“It’s up to Y/N, I’m not getting involved,” Siwon declared, taking a step back from the situation.

“If you stay just for dinner, we can do something the two of us after it?”

Siwon reluctantly nodded, “as long as he promises to go straight after dinner, I don’t think he’ll want to be around for what’s going to happen after dinner.”

“I don’t want to hear, or see, what you’re going to do with my best friend, thank you!”

Donghae:

“Since when did you drink beer?” You questioned, taking a seat beside Donghae at the table, “do you know how drunk you’ll be by the end of the night.”

“I noticed that Jeongsu was drinking it, so I thought I’d have one too,” he stated, taking yet another huge sip from the glass in front of him.

Your eyes rolled, looking between them both. “Please tell me this isn’t another one of your stupid competitions, because there’s no way that this will end well.”

“It’s not a competition, I just fancied a beer, and also I wanted to encourage Jeongsu to get drunk tonight,” he proudly chuckled, resting against you.

Your head tilted against his, “as much as I usually enjoy your little best friend and boyfriend contests, I’m not carrying your drunk ass home tonight, you can look after yourself.”

“I don’t need to get drunk, Jeongsu already looks wasted,” he laughed, pointing across at him.

“You do realise it will be up to me now to look after him?”

Just as you said that Jeongsu came stumbling towards you, “I think I’m a little drunk,” he cackled, throwing himself down at the other side of you. “Y/N, help.”

“One day the two of you will learn that I adore you both equally.”

Ryeowook:

“So, is he treating you well?” Heechul outrightly asked you as you all sat down to lunch. Your eyes looked straight at Ryeowook who gulped loudly.

“You do realise I’m sat right here, don’t you?” He questioned his elder, feeling his cheeks turn a dark shade of red, “of course you know that I’m treating her well.”

Heechul hummed, with a light shake of his head, “you would say that, but I’d rather hear it from Y/N that you’re treating her as I expect you too.”

“I know she’s your best friend,” Ryeowook frowned, happy to accommodate his protectiveness, “but do you really think I have a bad enough bone in my body to treat her badly?”

Heechul’s hand ran through his hair, “I just want to make sure that the two of you work out, I always knew deep down that you’d make a great couple.”

“We’ll work out just fine if you stop interfering so much in our relationship,” Ryeowook challenged.

“I know you mean well Heechul, but just take a step back,” you smiled.

He nodded, looking down at the table, “I know I’m overbearing, I guess I just need to accept you have someone else now in your life to look after you.”

“And he’s doing an amazing job of it, I promise you. You don’t need to worry.”

Kyuhyun:

“Y/N, can you tell him to stop winding me up,” Jungwoon cried out as he sat beside Kyuhyun on the sofa, nudging him gently into his side.

“You really need Y/N to defend yourself?” Kyuhyun continued to tease, irritating his elder as he always did so well. “She won’t do anything.”

Jungwoon’s head shook, sweetly smiling across at you. “If anyone has the power to put you in your place, it’s Y/N. You’re absolutely terrified of her.”

“That’s not true,” Kyuhyun quickly argued, “you’re scared of her too though. Imagine being scared of your best friend, what sort of friendship is that for you both?”

Your eyes rolled as they continued to make snide remarks back and forth at each other, “you’re both as bad as each other, there’s nothing I can do.”

“How could you possibly say I’m on a par with him?” Jungwoon yelled.

“Maybe he is a bit worse, but you’ve got to learn to stand up to him like I did.”

It was the turn of Kyuhyun to smile as Jungwoon sunk down in his seat. “It seems like your best friend prefers me to you. I guess that means I can carry on teasing?”

“No way, I’m off to find a new best friend who won’t abandon me for their boyfriend.”

Your eyes met Junghoon as you sprinted away from Heechul, hearing the yells of your name as he raised a snowball in the air.

“Quick, hide here with me,” he beckoned, pushing you in front of him behind the tree that he’d found.

You held onto his arms as you caught your breath, spinning around to face you. His hand came up and removed a few droplets of snow from your hair, before tapping your red, frosty nose.

“My heart is pounding,” he chuckled, “I know the boys like to wind me up but it’s like they want me to run a marathon.”

“I think we’ve definitely got targets on our backs,” you agreed, “Heechul’s been on my back since we started the fight.”

Junghoon smiled down at you, “if I hide in the snow will anyone see me? Or do you reckon they’ll just stand on me?”

“Watching Hyukjae, I think he’ll see you, stand on you, and still pelt you with snowballs,” you laughed.

“Maybe you’re right, let’s just stay here and protect each other. None of them will win if we have each other.” Your head nodded in agreement, moving closer towards him.

After a few moments you felt his grip tighten around you as his eyes followed Hyukjae and Siwon running across the snowy field. He took a deep breath in and turned around as they moved around the tree, sighing in relief as they passed you both by.

“Hiding behind this tree wasn’t such a bad idea,” he whispered, but your body froze as you heard footsteps trudge behind him.

“If it was so good, why is Heechul approaching me?”

“Quick! Run!”
