We've seen in the Second Eruption manga that he'll throw his own life and mind on the line to ensure victory and that he can predict what people will do before they even think of it, so it wouldn't be that far of a stretch to say he went into the dream willingly and knowingly with the understanding that everything would probably be fine in the end and if he took all the dangerous jobs (first confrontation with Sunday in 2.2, protecting us from the Family in 2.0 and 2.1) everything would be fine because he has 300,000 souls anyways.

My big question here is how did he not effect the Dreamscape? I mean, he probably can. Like, the big tip off for other people could very well have been "time and space are warping around Welt", but they weren't. Raises some questions for me.

Ok even though I do in my brain know that they aren't going to have Welt pull any weird herrscher shit this early in the life of the game, part of this kinda came off as a bit of a bait and switch to me? Ok probably not the word but .

So the thing with this update is the reveal that we have been in the dream since we first got to penacony and hallucinated Acheron. She's maybe the first to wake up from the dream because nihility (also detail to note: this probably means that under normal circumstances Acheron is probably a lot less likely to get lost everywhere) alongside others like Robin and Swan. Now what bugs me is this:

Why didn't Welt wake up on his own??? Ok there may be other reasons for that, such as him being unlikely to realize he is already in the dream but it bugs me deeply to remember that he pretty much foreshadowed the end plan by talking about project stigma early on (really fed me there tho) and then he somehow seems more resistant to considering it happened? Also that they brought up Nihility helping people wake and Welt is a nihility character...

This is one of those things where yeah there may be more reasons sure, but looking at it from a writing point of view it feels like the one and only truly loose end of this update. I could retcon it all to make sense though... I have a little bit of an idea that Welt may be like Dan Heng and have his own secret secondary path that isn't nihility cause this is just my thoughts but why did all the other nihility characters wake up before him :( I think we are likely having another update in penacony though and that's awesome cause tackling this or not I feel like the story would benefit from another Acheron and Welt interaction
