While Metallica were in Finland, Apocalyptica gave Hatfield skis!
Apocalyptica published a video in which Eikka Toppinen presents the skis to Hatfield, and the following message was included:
Without Metallica, Apocalyptica wouldn't be the band they are now – maybe they didn't even exist! We are very grateful for the musical inspiration that shaped us as a band and for the contribution to our album "Plays Metallica Vol. 2" When James and I met in Helsinki, we gave him the first pair of our Loska Apocalyptica skis from PUSU as a token of our gratitude. Who would have thought 28 years ago, when we were just starting out, that we would make friends with these amazing guys and even work together on an album Apocalyptica!
