this pandemic will end and you’ll claim the window seat in your favorite cafe, stand in a crowd at a concert, visit a museum and make crappy art in the park. sometimes things feel like they’ll go on forever, sometimes bad things feel heavier than good things, sometimes life feels like it’s slowing down and all you’re doing is waiting for the full stop— but just because this hopelessness is all that you’re feeling right now, doesn’t mean that it’s all there is. there’s always more and you will experience that, and you will feel alive again.

i hope all the systems, all the ticcers, the autistics, the disabled, my ppl with personality disorders, the ones with psychotic disorders, to my bipolar and bpd pals, the adhders, to my anxious and depressive ones, my neurodivergents and neuroatypicals, a really good day or night

Benefits of having low empathy:

You can't guilt trip me

I remain calm when other people are in distress

I'm not constantly drained by the negativity of the world (instead I am drained by my own depression)

Disadvantages of having low empathy:

Was that a joke?

Was that sarcasm?

I don't always underatand why people feel the way they do

I don't get happy when other people are happy

People with low empathy are demonized even by mental health professionals :/
