an underrated part of hotd is the call of “dragon!” every time one is approaching. not only does it sound cool, but it really works to sell that dragons were an established part of the world. no one even needs to look up, they just run away— whereas in GoT people were too astounded to move whenever they saw one of dany’s dragons because they hadn’t been around for a hundred years. awesome little piece of worldbuilding imo.
