Things that support Yasuke being a samurai..
Was given a stipend (like other samurai)
Was getting paid by Nobunaga (apparently his nephew also gave Yasuke 10 kanmon, which was more than annual income of some other samurai)
Was given house/land.
Was given a sword of his own.
Mobilized for Takeda campaign of 1582.
Remained there even after Nobunaga dismissed all his "ordinary soldiers".
Literally all samurai meant at the time was being given a sword and pay by a lord to fight for them!
