Meet Oli! Our main protagonist boi!

Oliver "Oli" Middleton

He/him

Age: 19 (to start)

Oli was found as a baby (at approximately 1 year old) by the Middletons, and has lived with them on their farm ever since. He is autistic, with magick as his main special interest. Also chess and other nerdy business. ovo big nerd boi lmao

At the start of the story, he has received his fourth rejection letter from a mages' college, and no reason given for this rejection despite his requests for a reason. He's a mage, right? And a rather talented one, it seems. But yet, these colleges waste no time in rejecting him. And they aren't known for rejecting people much.

Fun Facts!

-Gay

-Constantly has the worst nightmares. Creepy, twisted visions.

-Also he's a bottom--

-Loves rock/metal music

-Has a magick switchblade he found near the farm one day. has no idea what it does. beyond stabbing. O.o

-Can play guitar, a little piano, and sing. Very deep voice.

-His God Main (if you will) is Mytherius, the god of reason and logic (nerrrd!)

no more "in my humble opinion", from now on it's "from my grandiose and objectively correct deductions".

when a pelican bites you there's no malice in their eyes. they aren't upset at you. they are just hungry and want to see if you fit in their mouths. and if you don't then it's no problem and everything is fine. and if you do then well i guess your fate is sealed but that's ok it's a beautiful animal

As long as we associate masculinity and discussions about masculinity and/or manhood with patriarchal, right-wing ideals or figureheads, we will never have a healthy outlook on masculinity and manhood.

This is precisely why I talk so much about trans manhood and masculinity. We need to move away from hegemonic, right-wing ideas of manhood and masculinity. To other trans people, trans men, transmasculine folk, whomever wishes to contribute to conversations about this, I think your voice matters. This, of course, applies not just to transness but also to race, sexuality, expression, and broader cultural understandings of manhood and masculinity. We need as many different voices speaking up about manhood and masculinity lest we go right back to the same patriarchal ideals that we are (trying to, at least) moving away from.

I feel like "porn is not evil and porn addiction is likely a misnomer for a more complex series of issues you should do some therapy about" and "I have seen a non negligible amount of usually young men online become so disillusioned with real life women bc they don't look and act like vtubers and hentai waifus and that's concerning" are two statements that can coexist

I would argue whatever you take from porn heavily depends on the attitude or lens you bring to it. A queer woman and Kyle, 19, can both watch the same lesbian BDSM porno and one can magically still have a totally healthy sexual relationship with women while the other is googling "bomb that kills all women"
