You are getting ready for someone’s funeral. You told the Undertaker that you would go along with him, trying to make an attempt to get out of the somewhat messy place in which he lived. He accepted, which was a pleasant surprise.

But there was only one problem. You were having trouble getting your corset tightened. It was new, so it was still a little bit stiff. 

So there was only one person you could ask for help at the moment. The Undertaker. 

You called his name, basically asking him to come into your room, which was decorated with skulls, candles, a few caskets laying around, and a bed with black sheets.

“I sorta need a little help with my corset, I am having trouble tightening it.”

He laughed a little bit and walked over to you, his boots making little clicking noises on the ground while the buckles that were looser than the others hit his boots.

You turned around and he grabbed the strings, he tried to tighten it. 

It seemed that he was having a little bit of trouble, too. He let go of the strings and grabbed your waist with both hands, he then gently pushed you closer to the wall. His feet following yours, which were only a few inches in front of his.

He put his right foot on the wall, leaving the buckles to slightly hang from his boots.

“This may hurt a little bit, darling.”

You nodded, trying to grab the wall for support, knowing you’ll need it.

His hands were slightly showing from under his long sleeves. He wrapped the strings around his hands once again and pulled the strings of the corset as tight as he could, making your waist seem much smaller than it was before.

He then tied the strings and put his arm around your waist, while resting his chin on your shoulder. He was slightly smiling while his bangs were still covering his eyes.

“Does this feel alright, dear?”

With love M.S, that's how the letter was signed. It was written on a small black paper with silver inked letters. It was just beautiful, in it was displayed a poem talking about your eyes and the way they shine when you stood under the moonlight. Attached to it was also a piece of dark chocolate, and an expensive-looking treat for your palate to enjoy.

You could only wonder about the author of this, surely this was meant for somebody else. But then, how did they manage to leave it in your room without you noticing? Maybe it was some sort of prank? A joke? The burning sensation in your cheeks made you wish it wasn´t, it would be lovely if someone were to like you romantically.

Whoever made it knew a lot about you, about your personality and your desires, about your passions and dreams. They had to be someone close to you, otherwise, you´d have to worry about someone stalking you and being a creep.

The author had to like you a lot, right? Or at least, care for you. Little did you know the culprit behind the note was no other than the mighty and distinguished firstborn, Lucifer. The avatar of pride was just so enamored he didn´t know what to do, he´d go speechless if you were to discover his secret. Little lovesick sighs would escape his lips once he was alone in his office, imagining if you were thinking about him too.

No one knew about his feelings for you, the human that was able to break his walls down (or so he thought, I´ll explain later). Not even Diavolo, who would always whine and complain wanting to know his right-hand man´s secret crush. How did Dia know Lucifer had a crush? Easy, Barbatos mentioned that the firstborn had been acting odd ever since you made a pact with him (The butler heard a mouthful of curses from Lucifer after almost spilling the truth).

It was amusing to see Lucifer write his secret letters for you. He'd always use black paper, a red envelope, and silver ink: Elegant, it truly matched his essence. Sometimes, if he was feeling bold, he´d add a flower bouquet or a small piece of jewelry for you to wear. It gave him a nice ego boost to see you wear his gifts, even if you didn´t know he was the sender.

However, he couldn't let you know about his feelings just yet; not when he still had so much to say and learn from you. Rejection was something he feared and the demon had to be sure you felt the same way before confessing. To be anonymous was the only way for him to tell you about it, he thought about many ways to sign his letters: A capital L was his first idea, but it could get mistaken with Leviathan; he then thought about his pact mark, but that´d be far too easy for you to decipher.

He needed something harder to decode...something that was his but that would be a challenge for you to discover; Morning Star, M.S.

His letters would always arrive in the morning, although they'd sometimes appear at night. You'd often find yourself waking up with a red envelope by your side, resting on your nightstand. Every letter had little things Lucifer liked about you: Your smile, your voice, your talents, the way you'd make him smile even when stressed.

Everything about you was a mystery he wanted to savor slowly and that you clearly were enjoying too since you seemed more than happy to be part of his admiration and love for you.

You were his muse and oh, how he loved his muse.

You saw something else in your locker–something that wasn’t there before. You retrieved the said object and twisted the stem with your fingers: it was a pink carnation resembling the stationery used in the letter. It looked freshly plucked–without a single sight of blemish, indicating it had just been placed there. Dewy too, as if it was watered before it was given to you.

But wait. Do carnations even exist in Devildom? How would someone be able to procure one in the first place? This must have cost a pretty penny. You hesitated to take it after all until you noticed the single carnation was but a stray that lost its way from its bouquet–woah! That huge bouquet is DEFINITELY expensive. There are so many endemic and beautiful flowers in Devildom, so why waste their money on a pretty yet rare and expensive flower from the human world?

Did this person really REALLY love you to make so much effort? Is this a testament to their feelings? You couldn’t help but feel touched. By the time you realised you were gawking, the ringing stopped and became a missed call.

Uh-oh…

As expected, Levi was angry. He texted you that he went on ahead without you (since the pop-up cafe will close soon) and you couldn’t help but swallow. How would you be able to make it up to him when he comes back? You dread the thought of fighting with one of your very close friends.

You looked back inside your locker and cursed.

“It’s because of these stupid flowers!”

You made a motion that looked like you’re about to throw it on the ground until you stopped yourself midway after realising how petty you’re acting. Instead, you cradled the huge bouquet in your arms and felt yourself blush.

The letter and cookies, sure. You can put them in your backpack. But…would you really carry this huge (read: embarrassing) thing all around campus?

Jade didn’t know about the incident. He was in the kitchen, preparing meals, so imagine his surprise, when he entered a room that was supposed to be empty, with you, half-naked in the middle.

However, he was quick to return to his usual, stoic demeanor.

“Excuse me,” He said, before backing off, giving you your privacy.

After you finished and left the changing space, you spotted him standing nearby. He apologized to you, of course, asking a few questions about what you were doing in there and lecturing you to lock the door next time.

He may seem on the outside, but inside, he was burning with embarrassment. He didn’t exactly say he was offering you a deal, a free meal in exchange for not telling anyone what happened, but it was evident. And well, who were you to refuse?

Cater followed you around, trying to earn your forgiveness, for the rest of the day.
