I always wonder if OC projects his lost brother on Lizzy sometimes (like he reaching out to her in BoA vs. the twins reaching out to eachother in cult memory, 2 similar scenes) hence leveling his protectiveness... RC likes and acknowledges Lizzy as his future wife but he's a HUGE brocon. Liz could have feelings for both of them (just too confused to accept) but whatever, if there's ever a love triangle she's more like the 3rd wheel... The twins are always too focused on eachother, even now.

So I’m definitely lacking sleep, but I have the hardest trime trying to figure out what you mean Anon. xD To give you my opinion about the dynamic between the twins and Lizzie, at this point…

1) I don’t think our!Ciel projects his brother onto Lizzie though he does regret being a bit left out as a child from their dynamic because of his illness. 

Also, he lost his parents and brother, so surely he feels entitled to protect her, especially before knowing that she can take care of herself.

2) I don’t think real!Ciel cares about Lizzie that much, but he definitely is obsessed with his little brother.

3) Lizzie is actually very conflicted because the boy she’s in love with (our!Ciel) is not the twin she is betrothed to and believed was by her side for these last 4 years (real!Ciel). 

4) I don’t think we can really talk about a love triangle considering that Lizzie is canonically the most important person to our!Ciel…

…while she was starting to fall in love with him and the twin has been dead for years and is now a brother-obsessed zombie. If it is, then real!Ciel is the 3rd wheel. xD

5) I don’t think the twins are too focused on each other. Sure, real!Ciel is obsessed but…

…our!Ciel just wants his life back. Turns out that, even driven by guilt, you can’t pretend forever to be someone you’re not.

Do you think Bard is going to die? I know it's likely, but I just can't believe it.

Hey! Unfortunately, Anon, it’s indeed likely and ought to be considered rather seriously.

After all, this part of the new chapter tells us that, if Ronald is watching over the scene, then that means Bard, Ada, or both are on his list, thus supposed to die.

Of course, the list can change, mostly because Shinigamis can decide that, upon watching the record, someone’s life doesn’t have to end in case they still have a significant role to play in the future.

Still, I think it’s likely to consider that Ada, Bard or both will die at the end of this investigation. Not only did they both have more than one death flag over the course of the investigation but there is also Lau’s and Layla’s presence to consider.

First of all, I truly believe that Bard meant what he told Ada. He relates to her pain way too much to be playing around with her feelings. Besides, our!Ciel himself is more selfless than, say, his brother [x][x][x] and so it makes sense that Bard would try to help Ada, as long as he can also do what he came here to do.

Now, about Layla, as I explained before, while Ada was recruited by the Aurora Society, I have my doubts about Layla being related to them. In fact, I think she’s not a nurse, but rather Jane 2.0 (or Brown 3.0). Other fans theorized that maybe she’s related to the Star Lords, but either way, she probably won’t help Ada with whatever chaos is coming. In other words, Bard is Ada’s only ally here, because Ronald is supposed to act neutral and not interfere.

However, as we also could see in this chapter, Bard got into quite the predicament with his choice to support Ada…

…so he will have to tread carefully with Lau watching his back, because I don’t doubt that Lau will kill him if things don’t go the way he wants them to.

Let’s be clear here: I don’t think Lau works for real!Ciel and I think he meant what he said about staying helpful to our!Ciel’s side for the time being. However, as we also know from the Curry arc, Lau dislikes bad odds. So rather than letting some possible enemies live, he’ll kill everyone who’s on the opposite side and those who help them (here: Bard).

I’d also like to remind everyone that, as our!Ciel’s ally, I’m sure Lau doesn’t feel himself indebted or scared of our!Ciel’s position. It’s quite the opposite. So, with the two of them alone out there, there is nothing that can stop Lau from killing Bard and then hiding the truth from Ciel if it comes down to it. “Bard got in the way and got himself killed”: Lau’s ruthless enough to use that argument and, frankly, our!Ciel is the one indebted to him, so Lau’s got the upper hand here.

Lastly, one could argue that, since our!Ciel already won the last round, Yana could try to give one partial win to real!Ciel this time by killing one faithful servant, thus ally, of his brother. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

TL;DR Ada’s very likely going to die. Which is a shame because we know that her intentions are good, but because it’s Lau’s who’s there with Bard and not another team, she probably won’t be able to escape that fate (unless Lau has a change of heart, which is… quite unlikely).

The real question is whether Bard will understand that he can’t save her with Lau by his side or if he’ll die trying.
