You're just having one of those day where you need to be held, and Eddie is having one of those days where he needs to hold someone - Oneshot

"Heeeeeenderson?" Eddie says, opening your bedroom door, coming inside, and closing it behind him. You glance up from your magazine. "Whatcha up to?"

You smile softly at him, tossing your magazine onto the floor and getting off of your bed. Dustin isn't home. He's off doing god knows what with Mike Wheeler, and honestly? You don't even wanna know what kind of trouble they're getting into.

"Oh, y'know. The usual. Missing you," you say. Eddie kisses your forehead and puts his hands on your hips.

"I'm right here," he says. "No need to miss me anymore."

You hum, still smiling as he loves on you. You wrap your arms around his middle, pulling him close, and you rest your cheek on his chest. Eddie is taken aback at first, a bit confused at the sudden display of affection.

"You . . . Okay?" he asks, wrapping his arms around you and rubbing your back gently.

You nod.

You're not. Not really. None of you are, not after what happened in the Upside Down. You still feel Eddie's scars, the textured skin beneath his shirt, and you squeeze your eyes shut.

"I love you, Munson."

"Hey. What's wrong?" he asks, worried now.

You shake your head, looking up at him.

"I just needed a hug."

Eddie smiles softly, then nudges your nose with his.

"That's okay. Hugs are good, Henderson."

"Can you call me something else right now?" you mumble, pressing your face against his shirt again. Eddie smiles.

"Like . . .?"

"Babygirl, sweetheart, beautiful love of my life . . ."

Eddie hums.

"My apologies, darling," he teases in an exaggerated British accent.

You smack his ass, and he cries out, laughing.

"Okay, okay!" he says. "Sweetheart."

"Mm. That's more like it. Good boy."

Eddie laughs again, then pulls away to dig through his bag. He pulls out a Lord of the Rings book.

"Brought this so I could read to you," he says, kicking off his shoes and sitting down on the edge of your bed. "You looked bummed at school, I figured you'd wanna relax for a while."

Always so thoughtful, your Eddie.

"Mm. You're the best."

"I know I am. Now get over here, Henderson, before your brother gets home and banishes me."
