It's been an ETERNITY since my last drawing and OH HELL, it feels so good to draw for itself again.

Baldur's Gate at night

It's around one in the morning when you wander the almost deserted streets of the lower city, enjoying the night fresh air after a long day.

You see the docks in the distance and for a few seconds your gaze is lost in the dark waters that border them. As you continue your way to a subdivision of houses and pass under a stone archway, you catch a faint metallic smell in the air, the smell of blood... You glance in all directions, searching for of some rat corpse. Sure, the streets of Baldur's Gate aren't always safe, but in this moment you can't imagine it could be anything else.

Your train of thought breaks when you catch a glimpse out of the corner of your eye of a silhouette on the other side of the archway. When you turn your head in its direction, you realize that it is a horned woman and that she is only a few meters away from you. In an instant your eyes meet and freeze, it seems she wasn't expecting to have company.

When your eyes adjust to the darkness, you notice the presence of blood on her porcelain face, but looking at her general appearance, you quickly understand that it is not hers.

Her red eyes observe you, intense, threatening... If the stranger seemed surprised a few seconds before, her gaze is now similar to that of a feline ready to pounce on its prey...

Do you know this feeling where you start doubting your own oc and their story? When you think that, maybe, it is a bunch of nonsense you should keep for yourself? That's happening to me right now and I hate that x_x

I feel like a new kid who doesn't dare to play with the others cuz my toys aren't cool enough.

When Raph tries to explain himself after upseting Luvia. And Haarlep doesn't help.

For the sake of the RP, Luvia's personal story won't follow the Of Gold and Blood main line. She has never lived in the House of Hope, she knows Raphael only by reputation and she doesn't know Haarlep.

She's a contract-breakers huntress, employed by devils who don't want to waste their time in running after those who have been stupid enough to not respect their deal.

She's usually paid with magic artefacts, precious stones, stuff she can sell and make money with. But she never makes deals.

Class: Sorcerer (and a bit of a bard)

Trivia:

She mainly uses "regular" magic. She won't use blood magic or her dragon form unless it is really necessary.

People think she's a Tiefling without a tail. She doesn't want them to know about her true nature anyway.

Luvia tends to be expressionless most of the time but her eyes speak for her.

She hates when things don't align with her plans and it is difficult for her to hide her frustration.

She takes pleasure in hunting and killing the contract-breakers.

Luvia smells like coconut and vanilla but her natural scent is more like honey and blood.

I wondered, is Luvia a Tav, i.e. does she get snatched by the nautiloid and tadpoled at some point of her story? I am very curious how her encounter with a certain Devil would play then! 👀

About the tadpole, in the current and main story, I don't know if she would get tadpoled or not yet 👀

There is a Tav in Of Gold and Blood (she didn't make an appearance yet but I hope I could introduce her soon!), but if Luvia had been a Tav...

In her story, at some point, she becomes a contract-breakers huntress for Raphael. But in this case, she would be employed by devils in general, who don't want to waste their time with that.

Raphael would know her by reputation and would have found this turnaround... Interesting. She's not the last of her kind but the Dracanists are pretty rare, and with her special abilities, it would be an advantage for him to have her AND the crown in the end.

Since she's the lonely type, she would have reluctantly teamed up with the companions and kept her guard anytime, especially in her current state 🪱. It would have been difficult to approach her. She knows devils and their tricks, Raph would need to be careful and tactful and find something interesting to propose to her.

I guess he would have to wait for her to be at a place she's familiar and comfortable with, like a tavern or something close to that (yeah, not very original)

Maybe he would offer her a drink... She would have tried to convince herself that he doesn't know about the tadpole and would have accepted, thinking he came for her services.

Raphael would have to find an offer she couldn't refuse, maybe something related to the rarity of her species. She wouldn't be easily convinced anyway, making the whole thing even more thrilling for him.
