Curses were flying left and right. Hogwarts, his home─ breaking beneath his feet.

Screams and shouts echoing through the sky. Bodies littering the ground. His whole world collapsing before his eyes.

Everything he'd grown to love and care about disappearing like a flame on a worn out candle.

He saw blonde hair. Then crystal grey eyes.

He looked intently.

He was shaking. Trembling. His green eyes dulling over. He'd been hit.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

A blinding sensation overtook him. The world around him shifted to something more; beautiful, peaceful, quiet, dead.

He felt cold-hard hands wrapping him in an embrace. The softness of something he couldn't describe keeping him warm, safe, loved.

He heard a soft croon─ so gentle and sweet. Like honey to a sore throat, music to your ears, like warmth to a cold heart.

It was beautiful. Like euphoria. The peace, the quiet, the calmness, those hands, those sounds, those eyes were what he needed. Wanted like a dream come true.

Voices. One. Just one. So smooth, so gentle, so welcoming.

Dragging him to the end of the world like a magnet connected to static energy.
