Quite honestly, I’m so worried for Tom. But I also sympathise with the opposing opinions. I understand people’s feeling on the transphobic situation. I think he should 100% speak up on it. This is a very serious and delicate matter that affects the trans community. However, he could be under a contract or the man just doesn’t want drama. But still silence is compliance. I agree with him about JKR...she is genius for creating Harry Potter. But that doesn’t mean that we condone any of her disgusting behaviour toward the trans community. As someone with a trans sibling, I asked my sister for her opinion and she said it didn’t affect her as a trans woman and she felt as though Tom had not said or done anything disrespectful and that nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors. She also very much agrees that JKR is extremely smart to create such an amazing story. But she does not support her as a person in any way. Tom may not be allowed to talk about the situation. You have a right to say ‘Tom you should speak up’ and civilly encourage him with no nasty intent. But to hate on him? And make fun of his appearance and call him a transphobe with no concrete proof? That is absolutely not okay. Cancel culture is so toxic anc tiktok have taken it too far on him. The man already tried to commit suicide once. Let’s not let that happen again because I guarantee that if something like that were to happen all the haters and attackers would switch up and be like ‘RIP king. Media is so toxic.’ ‘He was never a transphobe didn’t mean it like that.’ only because they feel guilty. Unless he has said something that is outright disrespectful or you know him personally and his contract rules...don’t come for him in a nasty way with no proof to back up your point. That is all I have to say. Don’t bother commenting on this post if you’re just going to be horrible to me about it. Whether he comments on the JKR tweets or not, he’ll get death threats and hate anyway because you lot are never happy with anything anyone does on the internet. It’s always for or against there’s no invetween. He said ‘love is love’ and he promotes kindness and acceptance. Okay I get that it’s not accurately saying ‘I support the LGBTQIA+ community’ but please cut the guy some slack. He’s not controversial and he just wants to steer clear of drama. HOWEVER, This is not me saying he should be let off and forgiven because I think him ignoring the situation is only worsening it, a lot. He definitely needs to speak out and establish himself and his actions that have been proved and apologise for not speaking out sooner and to those he may have accidentally hurt, when he was asked to. But please stop hating I beg of you because if you were in his shoes you’d feel like shit right now. Just be polite and respectful. And if you don’t like his response then just don’t follow him I completely get that some are more sensitive than others. If you really have a burning urge to say something, say it with your chest and don’t anon me. Defend your point with your real account and don’t be attacking me behind an anonymous photo because you’re too insecure to stand by your opinion as your internet identity.
