Tears stream down his face as he sits there in your arms, he’s shirtless and bared for the world to see… or at least his world, you. He hadn’t planned for this tonight, he had wanted to give you a fun night out, to go party and come home and touch each other.

But somebody always has to run their mouth. Always has to say something to him. So, instead of lips wondering and exploring each others bodies, its arms holding him so tight he never has to worry about falling apart.

His quiet hiccups and sobs begin to simmer down, soon enough he’s breathing softly and his tears have dried on his cheeks. He slowly lifts up his head and looks you in the eye, noticing the tears on your own face, and frowns.

He leans his forehead against yours and whispers:

“I love you.”

Your breath catches upon hearing those words, words you thought he’d never get the courage to speak. But, without missing a beat, you whisper them back just as intensely.

You bring your lips up to his forehead and kiss him softly, feelings his heart speed up under your fingertips. His breath evens out and he wonders just why the hell you’re dating him, but he can’t dwell on it for too long before you gently guide him to lay back down.
