ميں رہ منزل ميں ہوں، تو بھی رہ منزل ميں ہے

تيری محفل ميں جو خاموشی ہے ، ميرے دل ميں ہے

يہ داغ سا جو تيرے سينے ميں ہے نماياں

عاشق ہے تو کسی کا، يہ داغ آرزو ہے؟

ميں مضطرب زميں پر، بے تاب تو فلک پر

تجھ کو بھی جستجو ہے ، مجھ کو بھی جستجو ہے

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:

“If you want to find out that

which rests in one’s heart,

then look to the movements of their tongue.

Indeed, the tongue indicates that which rests in the heart,

whether or not its owner wills.”
