Inspired by drabbles I've read from @multi-fandom-imagine, here's an AU I've made with what if Ford had a family. Ford has triplets and yes they are honeymoon babies, I've yet to flesh out the rest of the timeline but a lot of the dates are from @fordtato's theory and posts.

Chances are I'll make xReader drabbles in tandem with this because Ford is a funni man and I am very hooked on him rn, so please give me ideas/situations in my inbox yall THANKS!

A little imagine that I've got with Ford and his s/o in this universe is that his s/o is at BMU just like him because of financial struggles but is a similar strain of genius. I can see them having biology classes together since I'd kinda like his s/o to have taken mycology(study of mushrooms and fungi).

Imagine just walking to class with him every now and then, or being lab partners that get everything done before the rest of the class even gets half-way through.

Imagine playfully giving him kisses when he scores higher than you and then taunting him to do the same when you do, it's your "prize" as much as it is his.

Imagine dragging his ass to actually sleep for once and if he's too stubborn you sit in his lap until he yields.

Imagine as a graduation gift as you're walking back towards the dorms, he gets on one knee and actually proposes. He was supposed to do it on stage but chickened out.

I already have an idea for a fic given dimension hopping and all that, might give it a spin.

On the topic of song covers, I couldn't help but pit up team EQ vs team IQ when it came to the Pines- so have Dipper and Mabel plus Stan and Ford singing because I am so insane for them all.

I am a writer and artist I should really draw or write about them all doing karaoke, and this time with actually good songs that aren't going to shatter eardrums.

Anyway, here they are because yes I love them.

Closet cosplaying Stanford Freakin Pines, I am mentally unwell for this genius

Imagine Dipper and Mabel wanting to take you out trick or treating, problem is that you don't have a costume. You don't want to disappoint the twins, so you decide to fashion one on extremely short notice.

You had closet cosplayed characters before thanks to your extensive wardrobe, unfortunately right now– there wasn't really a combination that seemed to fit any trendy icon at the moment.

At least when you thought about it globally. In the small town of Gravity Falls Oregon...

The red turtleneck peeking from the corner of your closet seemed to beckon you, tempting with an offer to be worn. Only after pulling it out did the realization properly hit on who you could dress as. You just hoped that it was obvious enough.

Imagine the expression on Ford when he sees you in his signature wear; glasses, coat and all to complete the ensemble. Was your hair gelled?? He was dressed as a wizard, but you were dressed as him? The scientist was a cross between flattered and embarrassed by your brazen behavior.

Mabel seemed to think your choice of cosplay was cute, Dipper figured it was an intuitive choice on short notice, only Stanley seemed to think it was one hell of a comedy show.

Despite the fact he and his brother mostly hung back while you joined Dipper and Mabel collecting candy all over town— Stanford couldn't fight the intrusive curiosity to how you'd look in his clothes. Sure, right now you were dressed as him; but what if you were wearing the real deal?

Was that even an appropriate thought?

His twin didn't stop the mischievously relentless teasing through the whole night. You and Ford were already extremely close, neither of you just made anything official.

Stan even wondered if you guys ever kissed, he knew you both hugged each other often enough— but he wouldn't be surprised if the answer is no. His brother was everything but forward when it came to romance.

The nail in the coffin seemed to be when a cryptid of sorts came after you in the middle of your candy spree with Dipper and Mabel thinking that you were Stanford. Nothing in this family was the epitome of normal, this included.

Sure, the older pair of twins saved all three of you from the Halloween chaos in time— but you couldn't help but find the whole situation hilarious all the same.

Ford was especially clingy when you all got back to the shack, cuddling you on the couch while everyone binged movies and drowned in sweets. You didn't question it, instead falling asleep in his arms in the late of night surrounded by your favorite people.

The author gave you one of his sweaters after that night, you were too busy finding it adorable to question it.

Another collectible for cosplay in your closet you supposed, but one you were more than happy to have.

Imagine a dimension where reader was a childhood friend of the Stan twins and eventual married partner(might default to "wife" because old man is old schooled) to Ford.

I would think reader would have similar wits to poindexter while simultaneously huge appreciation and love for art like Stan.

I also think IQ and reader could get married pre-portal since reader would be the impatient kind and propose to the man first. It's taboo? Who cares!

Imagine that Stanley and Ford wouldn't have had as strained a relationship because reader was always in the middle of them both. A mediator of sorts.

I would think their relationship will still be strained, with a falling-out and all– but they manage to patch things over better and healthier since Bill doesn't entirely have his claws sunk into everything thanks to reader.

Imagine that in this AU Bill doesn't manage to screw up Ford too bad because Reader was there first. Sixer was already loved and cherished to a fault before the triangle could meddle.

I think that reader would also kind of be a lab assistant of sorts for Stanford and Fiddleford, a gopher most times since their know-how is still not as much as those two brainiacs. But reader is very much in the loop and very aware.

Imagine that reader was the ultimatum between Ford following Bill throughout with the portal no questions asked. So he's more cautious and skeptical to the triangle constantly fussing over the portal instead of being ceaselessly and unwaveringly devout to 'his muse'.

Granted Ford still has an unhealthy obsession with Bill, but it's torn somewhat because of reader.

Imagine it's because of reader's know-how that Ford only really spends half as many years in the portal, thanks to Stanley's help as well.

Stanford would most likely have figured out interdimensional travel and hard knocks survival at this point so we get GILF fordsy, but with less Bill Cipher and less world destruction.

Stanford would also have been presumed dead during the time, so Stan goes about his mystery shack business and takes his brother's name similar to canon. Just that reader is down in the basement constantly working on the portal and helping out when they can.

Imagine that prior to the summer when Dipper and Mabel visit, Reader and Stanford go on interdimensional adventures because science.

Whatever Ford discovers in his 30 years stuck in the nightmare realm in canon still translates here. He's just less grumpy and cold about everything, still very nihilistic and cynical though.

Imagine that the journals still probably exist, but intertwined among the pages are doodles or notes for you or entries from both you and Ford about many things.

Instead of some notes towards Bill going: "Wow he's the greatest thing to ever happen to me!" It's relegated to instead really obsessive levels of curiosity and a hunger for knowledge.

Now—

Imagine the chaos when reader gets into an accident during an adventure with their Stanford and ends up thrown into dimension 46(canon gravity falls) without him and meets the pines family from there.

To tack onto the trouble, what if reader is stuck?
